The next three of days were terrible for Aisti. Castien kept following her, and his advances towards her were becoming more and more forward. He had started to grab her to get her attention. A feeling welled up inside her. One she hadn't felt since she was a young girl.
To ease the feeling in her stomach, Aistel decided to explore the areas of the Island they allowed her in. She knew the meeting of Gyfted, Humans and Non-Humans was in two days. After that, she would be back on a ferry to go back to the airport.
She was wandering around the Fae island taking pictures of the buildings. They were all beautiful in their own way. Some areas reminded her of medieval buildings in Europe. They were all grand and beautifully done up. From the flowers to the curtains and the paint. Everything was handmade.
She found a bakery and tried all the Fae baked goods. Well, everything a Non-Fae could eat without being endangered. She wasn't sure if Fae food had any effect on her, but she really didn't care to find out. Whenever she caught a glimpse of Castien searching for her, she would hide. Though it wasn't easy. Her curly hair stuck out like a sore thumb because of her hair being so white. So she pulled her hair up into a bun and covered it was a scarf like many women were wearing.
Ugh, I hate following fashion trends. She thought as she avoided the desperate-looking Castien. She just tried to avoid him. She didn't want to have any issues with him. He was a high-ranking official in the Fae military.
She had began to feel some weird feelings in her stomach whenever she thought of anyone. For Irene, it was happy and slightly dull. For Martin, she was just annoyed thinking about him. Her family was still nothing. Castien was a sickening felling. Fear? She wasn't sure. However, whenever she thought of Tons. Her face would get hot and she would feel as though her stomach was doing backflips. She would also feel her heart race.
It's probably cause Irene owes me $4, and he has insisted paying it for her. Damn Ire. She thought with a blank face. She was absentmindedly stirring her milkshake. She didn't notice Castien sneak up to her. He then grabbed her from behind and hugged her tightly. She immediately went into attack mode. She broke his hold by nearly breaking his arm and flipping over him. This was the first time she went easy.
Castien sensed her holding back and felt insulted. So he decided to show her his true strength. He grabbed her and slammed her down on the ground, causing cracks to appear under her. Aistel, while not hurt, gasped. She was shocked at this show of strength. She tried to stand but was held down by Castien. When she glanced into his eyes, she saw a darkness she had seen before. Ricky. He's acting like Ricky. I have to get away. Not again. It sent a chill down her spine.
Realizing no one could see them, she did the one thing she was sure to work. She screamed. The only issue with Aistel's screams was that they weren't really screams. They were a mixture of shrieks and sirens. Her screams were much louder than what a normal human could produce and caused severe fear in humans and gyfted. It caused pain for non-humans.
Castien doubled over in pain. He clenched his stomach and felt the urge to vomit. Since he had released her, Aistel was able to get on her feet and run away from him. As she was running, she thought she saw someone watching her. A tall boy who looked very young, was standing surrounded by frightened gyfted and humans with non-humans doubled over in pain. The boy watched her as she ran. He was quite tall, maybe about 6'3. His hair was blond with very pale skin and golden eyes. However, when he opened his mouth and spoke, it was clear he was a grown man with a boyish face. He spoke in a strange language and smiled.
Aisti had run all the way back to her hotel. She had Castien banned from visiting her and took a shower. She hated screaming. It caused her throat to dry up and made it hard to speak. She plopped down on her bed and looked through her phone.
