The following afternoon, Aistel and Irene were on their way to the cafe. Irene thought they were going to be dressed rather causally for this meeting. Aistel seemed to have other plans. She was wearing thigh-high boots with a black tweed skirt and a white blouse. Irene scoffed and pulled at her plain pink tee and rubbed her black skinny jeans. "Damnit Aisti" She muttered under her breath.
"Aistel turned and stared. "What did I do now?" She asked.
"Nothing, except look like that."
"Like what?"
"... Nothing. Oh look, looks like the Fae boy is here and he is next to some amazing looking Fae guy. Though they look very similar to Castien... I wonder if they are brothers." Irene said, checking out Sebastian.
"Oh, her human friend is hot. She doesn't really know how to dress, but hey, she's hot." Sebastian said.
"Please, dear brother, do not think with your member for once." Castien said.
"I'll try. Can't guarantee anything."
Castien rolled his eyes and walked over to Aistel. "I'm glad you could make it, Aistel. As well as you, Irene." he said.
Aistel fake smiled at Castien and walked into the café. She sat down at her favorite booth and waved at a waitress. Castien turned confused to Irene, who just shook her head and pushed him to toward the booth.
"Hey Shirley, you know what my favorite is. Is my tab still open?" Aistel asked.
"Of course, Dear. Your father put another couple hundred on it for ya. Irene, you want the usual as well?" Shirley asked Irene.
"Nah just some coffee, black. Oh, what would you fae like? Aistel is paying." Irene said.
"No, I'm not."
"But Aisti..."
"No."
"It's ok, Irene. We can pay for ourselves." Castien said. He shot his younger brother a worrying glance and seated himself directly in front of Aistel.
Sebastian took the glance as his que to start trying to convince Aistel to attend the meeting with Castien. "So you are the woman I keep hearing about. Aistel is it? I'm Sebastian. Castien's younger brother. How do you do?" He asked with an outstretched hand.
Aistel looked from his hand to his face, "I don't shake hands. Nice to meet you." She said, sounding rather uninterested in everything that was happening. She was staring at the door to the kitchen. Even though she had just placed her order, she hated the wait.
"She is just hungry." chuckled Irene. "Have a seat, Sebastian. Oh, I'm her best friend. Irene. Nice to meet you." Irene said. She couldn't stop the urge to flirt with Sebastian.
Sebastian smiled and took Irene's hadn in his own. He then kissed the top of her hand causing Irene to blush, Castien to roll his eyes and Aistel to groan. "Nice to meet you as well."
They all had ordered and were sitting around waiting for the food. Irene and Sebastian were getting along rather well. However, Castien couldn't make conversation with Aistel as her only concern was with the food and why it was taking so long.
"We really need to discuss what will happen once we set off for the meeting Aistel." Said a nervous Castien.
Aistel turned and watched him with a blank expression. "What is there to talk about? You pay me $15,000 and i come with you to this meeting. If it worries you that I may not behave, don't worry. I know how to present myself in such situations." Aistel then took a deep breath and sat up in her seat. She brushed her hair to the side and suddenly put on a very sweet looking yet still cold smile. "This is how I am at work so I use this when it's important. All I have to do is smile and wave as well as answer a few questions. Not that hard to fake it. From what I know, the meeting is more of a formal gather. I am only going to represent the overwhelming small population of Unknowns in the world because, like myself, they don't want to be bothered." She stated as she took a drink of water.
"Yes, you seem to understand... wait $15,000?" Asked a stunned Castien.
"Oh, sorry... $10,000." Aistel corrected herself. She didn't want to ask for too much money. That's more than enough to get me into that apartment in Tons' building. Can't get too greedy or he'll back out. She thought to herself.
"Ah, I see. Oh look, our food is here. We should all eat before it gets cold." Said Castien taking his brother's plate and passing it to him.
"Thank you, Castien. Thank you Shirley." Said a beaming Sebastian. He was starving and his breakfast slam looked absolutely delicious. He glanced over at Aistel's food and gasped.
She had ordered enough food for 4 grown men. Aistel's energy drain was tremendous because of her gyft. It was normal for Irene to see this much food. She herself ordered enormous meals to give extra to Aistel so she wouldn't lose all her food.
Irene giggled at Sebastian's and Castien's faces. "She has always eaten like this. Even as a small child, ate more than some of the adult men we knew. She always shocks my dad, even though he has known her for over ten years. I guess it is old looking to some." She said, playing with some food on her plate.
In all this amazement, Castien couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was something he had never seen or encountered before. She was a new experience for him and he liked it.
Just like in their hotel room, Sebastian saw a red flash in his brothers' eyes but this time he did not ignore it. He knew it meant something, and he was quite sure it wasn't anything good.
