𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 I didn't have a lot of homework so after I was finished I decided to go walk around the castle, I still had an hour until the curfew anyways. I slipped on a hoodie and some shoes and quickly told Eva and Sparrow where I was going.
I walked through the halls looking at all the paintings. i decided to visit the astronomy tower that lola had told me about, I made my way to the top and smiled at the view. I sat down on the couch and looked out, my thoughts started to overwhelm me and I felt myself slowly drown out the outside world. I knew about the Malfoy's association with the dark lord, I know he's dead but I just can't help but wonder, am I expected to follow in my parents footsteps? I don't want to be a death eater.
"faith?"
"George? what are you doing here" I said wiping the tears that had fallen
"are you alright?" he said with worry trying to grab my arm, I yanked it away
"I'm fine" I said bitterly as he sat down beside me
"would it hurt you to be nice to me?"
"yes" I said not bothering to look at him, he was the least of my worries.
"do you want to talk about it?" he asked in a low voice
"no" I said sniffling wiping my nose with my sleeve
"do you hate me because of the blood traiter thing?" he said in almost a whisper
"what?" I said finally looking at him, I hadn't noticed how close we were until now our faces inches apart
"you know, me being a blood traiter, is that why you hate me?" he said in a low voice
"I don't hate you george" I admited, something about staring into his eyes made me regret every bad thing I've ever done, he had really long eyelashes, they were pretty.
"then has someone said something to you about me?" the words leaving his lips in a small whisper
"no" I admitted not moving a muscle, I couldn't tell if it was my mind playing tricks on me or he was actually leaning in, I froze. he got half way before stopping, almost like he was waiting for me to make the next move. his eyes flickered down to my lips and back up to my eyes and I shocked us both when I leaned in closing the distance. I got an immediate reaction from him. his lips were also really soft, his hand reached up to cup my cheek and I realized what I was doing. I put my hand on his and pulled away I opened my eyes and noticed his were still closed. he let a breath out and I got up.
"I-I need to go" I said and his face made me want to sit back down and hug him, I felt like I was kicking a puppy, hell this felt worse. I left before he could say anything and I stopped once I got to the bottom of the steps, I brought my hand up to my lips and sighed. get it together faith. I made my way back to the common room and I went up the stairs to my room.
"are you okay?" Eva said as I sat down on my bed.
"yeah I'm great why wouldn't I be" I rushed out
"your cheeks and lips are red and you look like you just committed murder-you didn't kill the Weasley did you? you could go to Azkaban-" eva said but was cut off my Sparrow throwing a pillow at her
"what? no I didn't kill George" I said shaking my head
"oh so it's George now?" Sparrow said with a smirk and I rolled my eyes
"oh shut it"
"oh my god you kissed him" she gasped
"h-how'd you-I mean no I didn't" I said frantically
"oh my god you totally did!" Eva said smiling
"how'd it happen? tell us everything" Sparrow said excitingly
so I did, I told them about how I was sitting in the astronomy tower alone crying and he came up to me, how he asked me why I hated him and how I admitted that I didn't and how I left him at the tower alone after the kiss.
"why'd you pull away?" Eva frowned
"I barely know the guy! the kiss happened because of the heat of the moment there are no feelings involved" yeah tell that to the zoo in your stomach faith
"I'm going to bed guys" I said not letting them say anything taking my shoes off and getting into bed.
