𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐏 𝐌𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐎𝐔𝐓. a whole week, I had gone a whole WEEK without getting a detention and he managed to ruin that. professor snape told us to use the detention time to work on our project.
as soon as snape left the room I turned to smack George with my book.
"are you mad?!" he said rubbing his arm where I hit him.
"I'm in so much trouble you git" I said glaring at him
"it's just a detention! he didn't even take house points calm down" he said rolling his eyes
"I was expelled from Beauxbatons George. I promised lucius and narcissa that I would be on my best behavior and I was doing great, i made it through a whole week withoutgetting in trouble and it took you ruined everything." I basically shouted, how could I not shout? I was furious.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't know " he said looking down,
"lets just start on the project" I sighed pulling my book and parchment out and prepping my quill and ink. we managed to do quarter of the work before the detention ended.
we decided to work on it more tomorrow, I left and headed towards the dungeons. I said the password and the painting let me in, I spotted Aiden and started to head his way when draco stopped me,
"this is from father and mother" he said sending me a sympathetic look as he handed me the letter, I sighed before heading up to my room instead.
dear faith, we expected better, we were so proud when the mark hit a week with no trouble only to hear you earned yourself a detention with that filthy blood traiter. this better be the only detention you get this year young lady, we would rather not have a repeat of what happened at Beauxbatons.

I closed the letter and frowned, they were right. I should have tried harder to be good. it's decided then, I'm going to make them proud, I'm gonna focus on my grades, I'm gonna get rid of all distractions, and try my absolute best to be a good student.
"faith, Aiden wants to talk to you" Eva said walking in, speaking of getting rid of distractions.
"okay thank you" I said hurriedly and I left the room.
"hey faith can we talk?"
"yeah sure come on" I said pulling Aiden to a small corner so we could be alone.
"I wanted to talk about earlier today"
"Aiden I think we should remain friends"
"w-what?" he said clearly hurt
"you're amazing and all I just don't think i'm the right person for you"
"what changed? you were fine this morning"
" I don't have time for a relationship right now I'm sorry"
"you don't have-you don't have time? seriously?" he scoffed
"I'm sorry" I said finally looking at him
"right, okay" he said getting up,
"Aiden wait I don't want anything to change you're a great friend" I said grabbing his arm
"just, just give me some time faith" he sighed giving me one last look before going up to his room. I sat back down and pulled my knees up to my chest, did I do the right thing?
"hey you alright?" draco said as he sat down beside me
"yeah I'm fine"
"why didn't the conversation with flint end up with you lot snogging?" he said and I let out an amused breath
"I told him I just wanted to be friends"
"is this about what mother and father said?"
"I want to make them proud and Aiden is a distraction" I said keeping my gaze on the fireplace in front of me
"okay then, I'll see you later faith" he said getting up.
ugh.
after getting attacked with questions from Eva and Sparrow I changed and went to bed already dreading the next day that I had to spend with George.
