THE NEXT DAY ONCE everyone was awake it was like everyone was walking around me on eggshells and I was about to scream.
"hey we're going to study in the great hall for the quiz do you want to come?" Sparrow said as she and Eva stated to get ready,
"yeah sure I'll just get ready", I got up and slipped on a slytherin sweater and some black school pants. I looked in the mirror and cringed at my puffy eyes, I dabbed some moisturizer and powder on and tied my hair to a low ponytail. I grabbed my book bag and we all made our way down the stairs and lola joined us, we entered the great hall and spotted George, Fred, Angelina and Cora sitting on the gryffindor table along with the trio.
"hey guys" Sparrow said smiling at everyone, I sat down beside Ron across from George and I could tell both Ron and George were both incredibly confused. we all sat there studying, someone would ask a question here and there,
"hey faith?" Ron asked from beside me,
"yeah?" I said looking at him,
"George says you're good at potions could you help with this question?" he says pointing to the question on the peice of parchment in front of him,
"yeah of course here let me see"
Georges pov
I watched her sit down across from me beside Ron and she refused to meet my gaze, Ron looked at me confused and I just shrugged.
"hey faith?" Ron asked and I could tell he was a bit nervous, she replied and he cleared his throat,
"George says you're good at potions could you help with this question?" he says pointing to the question on the peice of parchment in front of him,
"yeah sure let me see" she said taking the paper,
"so what part don't you get?" she asked softly,
"the whole question..." he said in a small voice,
"that's okay let's just take it part by part"
My heart fluttered at the way she was making sure he didn't feel bad for asking her, and surely enough she explained the 6-part question part by part.
"yeah that makes much more sense now, thank you" Ron said excitedly, she smiled at him and I could tell it was genuine,
"it was all you I just read the question in a different way" she said amused, and Ron's ears turned red, what a git. I smiled to myself and went back to what I was reading,
faiths pov
"I'm going to go to the bathroom I'll be back in a bit" I announced to the group as I got up. I heard a Strand of okays and I made my way to the bathroom, I walked in and heard small cries coming from one of the stalls. I decided to mind my own business and just started to fix my make up a little until I recognized the voice,
"ginny?" I called out,
"faith?" I heard her sniffle,
"yeah it's me"
"hi" she said in a small voice walking out of the bathroom,
"what happened?" I asked grabbing some tissues to wipe her cheeks,
"it's nothing I'm just overreacting" she dismissed,
"ginny it's okay you can tell me" I said softly, she looked up at me and threw herself on me crying into my chest,
"it's a slytherin girl" she hiccuped as I hugged her with a frown,
"what'd she say?" I said stroking her hair,
"she called me a bloodtraiter and said that me and my family were pathetic" she sobbed and I felt myself fill with anger,
"who?" I sneered she sniffed and pulled away,
"pansy" she said wiping under eyes,
"how about we go hang out with my friends yeah?" I said with a small smile and she nodded,
"first let's get your cheeks dried up" I said wiping her cheeks again,
"just wash your face quickly and I'll be waiting outside okay?" I asked and she nodded, I stood by the door and my heart ached for the 13 year old. I knew who pansy was, she desperately tried to befriend me but I never really liked her, and now I have a reason. ginny walked out and she hooked her arm into mine, we made our way to the great hall and I sat her down between Fred and george and they instantly comforted her and I told them I'd be right back, I couldn't hear anything as I made way to the slytherin table my heartbeat pounding in my ears, I was furious. draco saw me and went to smile at me before he saw my expression and his face instantly dropped as he stood up,
"oh hey faith!" pansy said smiling at me and I smiled sarcastically, I slammed my hand down in front of her and she flinched,
"listen here pancy If hear that you so much as breathed towards ginny or any weasley, so help me Parkinson I will hex you so hard you won't even remember your name" I sneered leaning down to her eye level, she physically gulped in fear,
"am I clear?" I taunted leaning into her face and she nodded vigorously with wide eyes, I glared at her going to open my mouth to say something before I started to get pulled away,
"I think she gets it" draco said pulling me away, I walked away back to the gryffindor table and sat down in my spot beside ron, the whole gryffindor table other than my friends who were basically used to it was quiet as they all stared at me.
"do I have something on my face?" I snapped and my friends held their laughs in as the rest of the table around us went back to what they were doing,
"thank you so much faith" ginny said smiling leaning into Fred who's arm was around her,
"bloody hell you're terrifying" Ron said genuinely afraid and we all laughed,
"why thank you ronnikins" I smirked.
everything was okay again.
