AFTER CEDRIC AND I'S LITTLE LESSON i started to head to the common room when I saw none other than harry potter walking towards me with a determined look on his face. I raised my eyebrow at him as he stopped right in front of me,
"can I help you?"
"how do you do it?"
"sorry?" I said confused
"you're the most talked about girl in your grade and yet, you couldn't care less, how do you do it?" he exclaimed, I put my hand on his shoulder and looked him in the eye with a serious hard expression on my face.
"I'm feared potter, I'm the most talked about girl in my grade because my parents are killers. you want to know how I ' do it '? I don't walk away. I stand my ground. you want to stop being talked about? news flash harry that's never going to happen, the only thing you can do is not let yourself get walked all over" I said patting his shoulder
"my father and I have a bet you see-" draco started
"now go try it out" I said shoving him towards draco as I stayed back and watched.
"I don't give a danm what your father thinks malfoy, he's vile and cruel, and you're just as pathetic" harry sneered at draco, I smiled and walked away, I'm such a good teacher.
"hey guys" I said smiling at lola, Cora, Eva and Sparrow who were sitting down in the middle of the common room, I plopped down on the couch beside lola, I heard a Strand of heys from everyone and Sparrow started talking about something quidditch and I kind of zoned out, I should thank George, if he hadn't stopped me I would be on my way back to the malfoy manor by now.
"faith? did you hear what I said?" lola asked
"no sorry what did you say?" I apologized
"I was asking about what happened in the great hall, with that ravenclaw and george" they said with a smirk, I noticed Elliot and Aiden had joined us
"some ravenclaw was running their mouth and I might have been threatening them. George pulled me away stopping me from doing any damage" I explained
"you should've seen her! she looked bad-ass" lola gushed and everyone laughed,
"it's true. I bet if George hadn't stepped in the boy would've been at the hospital wing for the next week" Cora said and I noticed Aiden tense up at George's name. the girls started talking about the yule ball and the guys groaned.
after a little while I excused myself and decided to go see George, I headed to my room and changed to a hoodie and some black jeans, I put long my hair into a low ponytail and pulled some strands out, I reapplied some Lip gloss and left the common room, I made my way to the gryffindor common room when I heard someone call my name,
"hey faith" harry said smiling at me,
"oh hey potter"
"I just wanted to say thank you for the advice" he said smiling sheepishly
"it's no problem" I said with a small smile
"where are you headed?"
" the gryffindor common room"
"oh? I don't think I've ever seen you there"
"oh no I've never been before I just wanted to talk to George"
"George? don't you hate him?"
"what-no I just needed to talk to him about, uh him and I's project"
"oh okay" he said not really convinced,
"well here we are" he said before saying the password, the fat lady let us in and he told me to wait on the couch while he went to call George I thanked him and sat down, their common room was much more warm than the slytherin one, not just temperature wise, the atmosphere felt warm as well.
"faith?" I heard George question from behind me, I got up and pulled my sleeves down as I turned around to face him,
"hey" I said tucking a strand of hair behind my ear
"hi" he said walking around the couch to sit down, I sat down beside him
"I just wanted to thank you for what you did in the hall today, I would've been expelled and on my way home if it weren't for you" I said looking at him
"it's no problem, what are friends for" he said with a smirk
"don't push it weasley" I said, biting my lip to hold back a smile
"if I couldn't tell better I'd say you're going soft on me evergreen" he said in a small voice and I finally noticed how close our bodies were, our thighs were touchibg and we were both leaning forward with our elbows on our knees, hands intertwined in front of us,
"never" I said finally letting myself smile
I got deja vú as he started to lean in, his eyes flickered down to my lips, my stomach was filled with butterflies as I looked into his eyes and leaned in myself
"George are you down here?" I heard ron call out and I let out a breath against his lips I didn't know I was holding I rubbed my sweaty hands up and down my thighs and got up,
"t-that's my cue to leave, I'll, uh see you tomorrow, bye" I rushed out before turning to leave
I quickly left and made my way to the common room
George's pov
"never" she said finally smiling, I loved her smile. it's like her whole face brights up. it's like I had no self control over my body, I leaned in and my eyes flickered down to her lips, I could feel her thigh tense up against mine and she never broke eye contact as she started leaning in as well,
"George are you down here?" I heard my dimwit of a brother say and she let out a breath that hit my lips, she ran her hands up and down her thighs and got up, my eyes followed her and she said, "t-that's my cue to leave, I'll, uh see you tomorrow, bye" she turned around and left and I instantly got up and smacked my brother who had just walked in,
"ow! what the bloody hell was that for?!" he said furrowing his eyebrows
"for existing" I grumbled before climbing up the stairs to my room.
