THE TWINS AND I ALONG the Trio had a free period so we were all sat in the great hall and I was this close to to hexing Fred and george.
"will you stop that!" I said swatting Fred's arm away, he keeps poking me with his quill and I was about to shove it-
"fine" he grumbled going back to his work, at this point george was basically just watching me study, he said he 'wasn't in the mood' and would rather just watch me. he was twirling a strand of my hair in between his fingers as he sat sideways on the stool, a leg on each side,
"boop" Fred said poking my cheek,
"fred!" I said as george laughed,
"what?" he said innocently, "you've got cute cheeks"
"I'm trying to study"
"yeah you're studying for potions, a class you're the top student in. I bet you're snape's favorite"
"no I'm not" I said under my breath,
"sure you're not" he said before poking my cheek again, I rolled my eyes and just let him.
"hey faith?" hermonie said looking up from her work,
"yeah?"
"thank you" she replied and my heart warmed. we hadn't exactly talked after I was dragged from the slytherin common room,
"of course" I smiled, she sent a small smile and went back to her work, I felt george poke my chhek,
"Fred's right you have adorable cheeks" he said poking them again,
"I know right!" Fred said poking my other cheek. The Trio started laughing and I rolled my eyes smiling and just let them,
"hey faith" draco said walking up to me,
"oh right hey draco" I said starting to gather my things,
"where are you going?" Fred and george pouted at the same time and draco raised his eyebrow in amusement,
"I promised draco I'd help him with his homework" I said getting up,
"but isn't he smart"
"I'm right here you know"
"but aren't you smart" George repeated looking at him,
"yeah well she's my sister so" draco said pulling me before he or I could say anything,
"it's like he's a puppy honestly faith I've no clue how you do it" he mumbled as we sat down at the slytherin table,
"tell me what you need help with before I change my mind" I joked and he rolled his eyes playfully pulling his potions book out,
"I don't talk to pansy anymore, in case you were wondering. She had no right to bring your parents up" he admitted,
"thank you I appreciate it" I smiled at him,
"have fun finding me a new date"
"what? date for what?"
"for the yule ball I was going to take her" he shrugged,
"how is that my problem?" I asked,
"you're my sister my problems are your problems" he smiled sarcastically,
"unless I suggest a boy I haven't got any pureblood girls in mind" I said,
"who said I wanted a pureblood?" he asked, and I smiled
"are you sure? I don't know harry is pretty cute. I reckon lucius would be happy" I joked and he glared at me,
"very funny"

I grabbed the box I had wrapped in black wrapping paper and made my way to snape's office, I knocked on the door and he I heard a faint, "come in"
"sorry for coming at such a late hour professor I just wanted to give you something" I said and he furrowed his eyebrows,
"what is it?"
"back at my old school there was this muggle tradition we celebrated called teachers day where you'd gift your favorite professor" I said nervously,
"I see, and you've come to me because....?" he asked confused,
"because you're my favorite professor...?" I said,
"o-oh well thank you I appreciate it Ms evergreen" he said clearly shocked,
"it's not much but It was the only thing I thought you'd like" I said handing him the box, he reluctantly took the box from me and unwrapped it, he pulled out the sleek black quill and the pot of ink.
"the ink is never ending, the quill is one of the newest designs" I said, If I'm being honest I was glad when I heard that they didn't celebrate teachers day but I wanted to do something nice for him,
"thank you Ms evergreen" he said not taking his eyes off the box in his hand,
"it's no problem professor" I said as I turned to leave,
"your parents were lovely people" he started and I tensed up, "great potioneers, I wasn't surprised when you became the top witch in my class" he continued and I turned around,
"were you good friends with them?" I asked and he sighed,
"yes, their passing was very unfortunate. I'm sorry for your loss" he said,
"thank you professor"
"you remind me of them very much, they'd be proud of the person you've become Ms evergreen."
"thank you I appreciate it" I said genuinely, I really did it appreciate it,
"well I'd hate to keep you, have a good weekend Ms evergreen, and Goodluck with the exam" he said and I nodded leaving.

Ugh she's such a good person, aslo I know that teachers day is in like October but whatever.
