**TW: p*lls, O*ing
I wake up super late with my head pounding, obviously. I am so dumb for not listening to anyone last night. I go out of my room and downstairs to the kitchen. I get a glass of water and I turn around and see Jaden. I jump a little bit and he laughs. "Come lay down with me, I didn't get to hold you last night I barely slept," He makes a pouty face and I smile. "Fine" I take a sip of my water and we go into his room.
I place my glass on his nightstand and he lays down. "Do you have Advil in your bathroom?" He nods, "I do, I'll get it." He sits up and I shake my head, "No, lay down. You said you barely slept. I can get it." I walk to the bathroom when he lays back down and I open drawers trying to find which one it's in. I open one of the drawers and see tons of pills with all different names. None of them medically assigned to a 'Jaden Hossler.' I gasp and cover my mouth to see a lot of them are half empty. "Hey, uh, Baby? Where's the Advil?" I close the drawer and he comes in the bathroom. "That one" He points to the drawer under the one I found the pills in. "This one?" I grab the handle of the one full of pills. He widens his eyes, "No, no, not that one. The one under it" I nod, "Can you close the door?" He closes the door, looking confused. "I already opened this drawer." I open the drawer and he looks down, breaking eye contact. "Where did you get these?" He shakes his head, "Not important." I scoff, "Not important? Jaden, it is! Why are you taking them?" he closes his eyes, "Stressed." I walk closer to him and he backs away. "Jaden, babe, I'm not mad at you. I'm just upset. Why didn't you come to me? I could've helped." He nods, "I know, I know... you have so much weight on your shoulders... you don't need anymore." I groan, "So you think hiding them and having a chance of finding them would be better? You think having a high chance of you ov*r d*sing is better? Just so I could add another name to the list of people I lost that's close to me?" He starts tearing up and I feel my heart drop. I sigh and sit on the counter and pull him close to me and I hug him tight. "I'm sorry, I'm just upset. I understand why you did it but listen to me." I pull away from the hug and cup his jawline with my hands. "My point is, I do not care if I was stabbed or shot or I broke a bone, I don't care what it is... you can come up to my hospital bed and complain of the smallest thing and I would help you. Yeah family around me is dying but you can talk to me about your struggles, okay?" He nods and sniffles. I pout and pull him into a tight hug. "I'm sorry." his voice breaks. "Don't be, baby. I understand. Just please talk to me from now on." he nods, "I was stressed because of you. Not in a bad way, but I hated seeing you upset and it makes me just," He lets go of the hug and looks at me in the eyes, "it makes me so fucking mad I cannot help." He blinks and a tear falls and I smile as I wipe the tear. "You help just by showing you care. Last night when you stayed out of my room because you didn't want to leave me alone made me feel so much better. And I am sorry I am such a total bitch sometimes and I don't show how much I appreciate you but every little thing you do makes me happy." He smiles and gives me a kiss. "Can we throw away the bottles?" He asks and I smile big. "Of course." He nods, "Only if you promise to stop drinking so much when your upset." I shake my head, "They're so different!" He shakes his head, "No! You drink to take away the pain and I use pills to do the same." I sigh, "I promise." He sticks out his pinky and I link our pinkies together. "I'll get a plastic bag we would get from grocery shopping. Do not hide any pill bottles from me, Jaden." He wraps his arm around me and turns around and lets me down. "Thank you" I smile and run downstairs to get a bag.
"What's that for?" Bryce asks as I go to walk into Jaden's room. "Nothing." I walk in the room and into his bathroom and he smiles at me. I open the bag and he puts all the pills in the bag. "Thank you," Jaden says as I tie the bag. I set the bag on the counter and he wraps his arms around my waist. "Of course," I say wrapping my arms around his neck and giving him a kiss. "I love you." He lays his head on my shoulder. "I love you too."
