There was no official name for the bond due to the fact that it happens very infrequently. It was only called 'familial bond' since it revolves around family more than the two connected person sharing that so-called bond.

The bond immediately connects you to the family of your connected person.

Moreover, there were only six families known to have this familial bond.

It had always been rare to have this sort of connection therefore it was not studied enough for others to understand the proper mechanics of it.

The familial bond was known to draw out each other's strength. They would become weak if they were to be distanced too much or were tried to break it because it indicates as damaging an unbreakable and sensitive connection to the two parties.

The bond could possibly be broken, normally, of one of the death of the members of the partnership.

The bond allows the pair to maintain a strong connection and are able to sense each other's life source. It enhances the natural feelings they have for one another and could feel what the other was feeling.

They are meant to make up for each other's bad personality traits and are able to bring out the good in one another, however, this does not prevent rivalry and hatred from forming between them.

When Elise fell asleep with the use of Alice's ability, the man slowly lowered the little girl to her bed with sudden gentleness.

Alice could order anyone if he wanted to. He has the powers to do so.

He brushed a few strands of hair away from the young girl's face, looking at the last tears falling out of her closed eyes as she took her last deep shuddering breaths before evening out.

Alice couldn't help but feel an immense guilt inside him while looking at Elise. He knew that Marielle was sharing the same guilt as his, if his sister hovering behind him was anything to go by.

He doesn't know what he could do to take Elise's pain.

Alice saw the fear in her eyes and the way she shooked as if she had walked down an icy path for days without warmth.

And it looked like it was not even directed at them. Alice would have felt the fear if it were directed at them.

No, the first time he saw the little girl, he immediately knew that she were somewhat different from a normal person.

The guilt he had felt when she left them at the dining room was immeasurable.

The look on her face before struck something inside him. Something that he could never quite erase.

He knew, he absolutely knew, that it was their fault. No need to toss the blame on elsewhere.

"Oh, Elise... " Alice whispered, disapproving the bond for making him feel this emotional. It was always very hard on deciphering your own emotions and what emotions the bond would want you to feel.

"She wouldn't like you being suddenly nice to her just because you saw her at her weakest state." Came Marielle's quiet, gentle voice.

Alice scoffed. "And yet, you're doing the same."

Silence flooded the room.

They both knew that his words were the truth.

They both know that they have their own faults to blame.
