Once upon a time, there was a Moon Goddess who was very lonely.
She had companions and servants who served her, kissing the ground she walked upon and had always given her admiration and love that always filled out her heart to the brim.
They looked at her with gentleness, they had taken care of her with gentleness, loved her and had taken care of her like she was made of glass.
But it wasn't enough for her. She was still lonely like a flower growing near an end of a cliff, never knowing when she will wilt.
Her loneliness was the cliff where it's a bottomless pit of darkness that would engulf her into a flame of death.
The Moon Goddess had everything, the looks, the brains, the love and the admiration. People showering her with kisses and love, she could get whatever she wants with just a beck and a call but there was still something missing.
The Moon Goddess had become so lonely that she become weak. Her tears had become as endless as the dark ocean.
She was dying like a wilting flower, nearly falling to the edge of the cliff.
Her people was filled with grief and sorrows as they watched their loved one slowly open death's door.
The Moon Goddess was sad when she saw how her people were drowned in an unending sadness and was even more guilty to be the cause of it.
Because of that, she had given them a gift.
A wish.
Anything that they would want.
Her people had only wished for her to live longer but they knew it were impossible. She had made one condition when she had given them the gift.
Never make a wish on saving her because living a lonely life was worse than being on death's door.
And so they wished for something else.
They wished that there would be something that would take away the Moon Goddess' loneliness.
Something that would want to make her stay at least.
Their wish came true. The wish had created children. Her children. The children of the night.
Children of a goddess.
And the Moon Goddess were in tears when she had learned that she would not be lonely anymore for there were her children to look after for.
That there was something to live for.
And she loved them with all her heart because her children were made by the wishes of what her people had wanted from the bottom of their hearts.
And thus, they were called selenophiles.
Children of the moon.
The End.
