Daisy in the Sea Breeze
Daisy in the sea breeze
Alert to every wave.
We sit amongst the dune grass
And watch the clouds parade.
Across the white-tipped waters
Dolphins leap and play.
And the sting of sand
Against my cheeks
Feels warm and clean, today.
I feel my halter billow out
Behind my sun-kissed ribs.
And careful not to smile too wide,
Lest grit blows twixt my lips.
The sand is hot and clean
Daisy - wild and free -
Chooses now to sit with me.
It's a present that she gives
Daisy in the sea breeze
Nuzzles 'gainst my thigh.
Sun heat is our comfort
Time stops go' n by.
