Tinker and the Candy City
Once upon a spectacular time,
coloured in confit was a town.
Around the honeyed trite was the lime slime,
whereupon he munched on the cake-drown.
All along the bonbon street did I hear it chime,
two silver bells, bead like eyes on Tinker's crown.
Through the Gingerbread Avenue, with the cotton candy ropes to climb,
I accompanied him to the Pie Caves down the riverside with a frown.
He was insistent on making me play,
with his mates, Bunny and Slice;
Tinker only wished for us to bond and prey,
onto the plush blueberries, he quickly urged us to a splice.
But I was a shy shelly, shadowed by my worry,
that I'd lose my best friend if I befriend them.
Tinker would be left behind in the cherry wherry,
yet he assured me of his affection, by giving me his trust-gem.
It was then that I realised his worth,
as we paraded our berry jars all around the kiwi queens.
Throughout the village of sweets and starry seams,
I would always find Tinker by my side, living in our candy hearth.
