Lacey.

Travis stayed in the room with me for about an hour. I sat back on my bed to continue the dumb phone game Finn and Ben had me download that I was grudgingly addicted to. Travis sat next to me and watched silently. At one point, I was pretty sure he fell asleep.

Eventually, he got up to go get something to eat and just never came back and before I had a chance to instigate, Ben joined me with a television box in his hands. He said Travis was helping Finn with something and he was here to hook up the tv in our room. I didn't ask for a tv and I didn't know if Travis did but I wasn't going to question it. I did, however, want to ask about cable or streaming services but considering none of the money they had was actually mine, I refrained.

We were almost finished setting it up, and by we I meant Ben, when Hannah came in.

"Ah," she exclaimed happily, "My two favorite people."

Ben raised an eyebrow from where he was situated standing on a chair. He had the television attached to the wall which was nice since I didn't exactly have a lot of furniture to prop a tv on. I was below him on the floor, toying with the leftover screws.

"So, as you may know," she began as she sat down on my bed. "Cameron and Annabeth left."

"Did they?" I did not know. I hadn't done much outside of my room today.

"Yes, they took Annabeth's car back to Kerrington to get some stuff they left," she said.

I frowned as I aligned the screws so they were upright on their heads. "Why didn't they bring anyone else?"

I didn't have much back at the house but it would be nice to grab what I did have there. And Travis was bound to have even more things. I knew for a fact that Ben had a ton of crap.

Hannah swung her feet back and forth. "They're bringing back a bunch and it's a small car. They said we could take trips back if there's anything else anyone wants."

"Oh." I said, looking at her for a moment. She was dressed in a casual dress with a blazer thrown on over the top of it. Her hair looked perfect and she had a little bit of makeup on. "You're dressed up."

She nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, so like I was saying, since they're gone and Carlos left too but I'm not sure where he went because he comes and goes. He may have followed Annabeth and Cam just to use extra car space but he also may have gone somewhere else, who knows with him really. But I was interested in going into town and scoping out any medical centers they have and talking to them about a job."

I hadn't realized it until this moment that they were setting up to stay here. I was so used to their houses being temporary but Hannah was looking for a job and Ben was drilling holes into the wall.

"You need a ride?" Ben assumed.

Hannah flashed a giant smile at him. "I sure do. And there's bound to be shops to check out, if you want to join."

I bit my lip because that sounded like fun and I haven't been off this property in awhile. "I could go for some window shopping."

Hannah's face furrowed. "Window shopping?"

She looked around my room, her eyes darting to my closest. The door was closed but I felt like she could see the lack of clothing in there. It was slightly embarrassing.

"I didn't get paid while working with the agency," I admitted.

Ben hopped down from the chair with a loud thud. "You have money."

I didn't actually. The internship paid for a lot of things while I was there and once I got accepted, they would start paying me personally. "I mean, not really."
