**if you haven't already seen, I've made a discord server open to everyone for chatting about books, my books, random things, cute animal pics, music. Basically if you're bored (like me 90% of the time), join and come say hi. We can chat and chill out. The link is in my most recent post on my Wattpad conversation wall, or if you message me I'll send it to you, because links don't work like that in story chapters or I'd post it here. But come say hi!!**

Travis.
Lacey was alive. Lacey was alive. Was Lacey alive?
My feet were moving, my eyes were closed, my head swam. There was an arm around my waist keeping me upright and guiding me where to go. I wanted to tell them to slow down because each time we moved, I felt like my body was going down a rollercoaster.
I took a deep breath through my nose and we paused. Just for a moment. I exhaled and two seconds later, I was being nudged to move my feet again. The nausea passed but it would be back in thirty seconds. Maybe a minute, if that.
I opened my eyes and tilted my head to the side. Cameron was with me. Noise was off to the side and I could hear Ben groaning.
Was Lacey with us or had she died? It was too dark to see.
I think she died in the jail. Vik had told me she died and detailed every single thing him and Lucky's other men did to her before she died. Every broken bone, every wound, Vik took pleasure in confessing to me. I held onto the hope that she was okay but every time I saw Vik, he filled me in on more gruesome details. Enough that my mind couldn't decipher what was true or not. I had screamed and screamed to let me see her, that he was lying. Vik told me that they'd already gotten rid of the body.
My stomach clenched again and I closed my eyes but I wasn't sure if that made it any better.
I don't think I stopped screaming after that. Any time I saw Vik, I was yelling at him. But maybe I dreamt it. I had a lot of dreams about killing him.
