Travis.

"What's your name?" I asked the man in the driver's seat.

I had seen him before, a few times in here but it wasn't until today that I realized I'd seen him while I was staring down my sniper rifle when Lacey met with the suppliers the first time.

He was the one who was too handsy with her.

"What's your name?" I repeated.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because I wanted to compliment you on your driving, why the fuck does it matter?" I snapped.

Vik elbowed me harshly as we pulled up to the house.

"Kane," he said.

I leaned forward to ask the one in the passenger seat, the one who had brought Lacey into the room with her arm pulled behind her back.

"And you?" I asked.

The asshole didn't answer me.

My lips pressed tightly together to keep any words extra from shooting out of my mouth and my jaw was clenched tightly but I think that was just a side effect of the drug. I groaned as my head spun for a moment while we turned into the driveway.

I put together my list.

Vik. Kane. The Asshole. Lucky.

No, I didn't like that order.

I had to take out Vik first no matter what. He knew where all of my injuries were and could use them against me. I wanted to save Lucky for last so he knew what was coming when I finally got my hands on him but maybe he'd have to be second. He might cause more issues if I left him for last.

Vik dragged me out of the van and I put my hypothetical list on hold as I stood in the driveway right in front of the van door. Ben was in front of me looking around and Lacey was still in the van behind me.

Everything was quiet as I took inventory of our house. I couldn't see any lights on in it. My motorcycle was still in the driveway. Annabeth's car was missing. The SUV wouldn't be here. It was most likely destroyed in the last fight down in Melkin or stolen from where we left it by this point. Ben's car was here but it had been moved off to the side of the house in the long grass, where he would've never parked it. The doors were all open but it looked like it was in one piece. Someone had touched it, moved it, maybe even searched it. I narrowed my eyes as I looked around again, trying to see any hint of a person.

Nothing. We were the only ones here.

Ben caught my eye and glanced at his car, like he was just as concerned as I was about it.

I was pushed from behind.

"Move out of the way," Lucky ordered.

Not seeing any threats besides those that we came with, I stepped out of the way to let them — Lacey — out of the vehicle.

"What's that?" Vik pointed to Ben's sedan.

"I think it's a car," I told him in wonder.

Vik glared at me.

I pivoted on my heel and headed towards the door. Vik was right behind me. My arms were shaking so I kept them at my sides. I didn't know if it was from the drug Vik had given me or if it was because that green pill was still in my pocket and my body wanted it. It was probably both. I grabbed onto the handle of the door. I wanted to lean against it to help steady myself, steady the world as it titled a little to the left but I could fall apart later. Lacey was here, Ben was here.
