Travis.
Walking away from the airport security gate, I threw my shoes down on the tile. It was too loud in here for anyone to hear the smack as they landed. I forced my feet into them, not bothering to untie the laces. I pocketed my phone and keys before putting my jacket back on.
Lacey and Ben were already finished somehow, standing off to the side and waiting for me so I ran toward them, stomping my left heel further into my shoe in the process.
As soon as I caught up to them, they started walking. Ben and I looked at each other over Lacey's head.
"I didn't think we'd make it through." He grinned.
"I know!" I exclaimed and Lacey put a finger up to her own lips to shush me. "I almost gave them the wrong ID."
Ben snickered. "Cam would've killed you."
I ran a hand through my hair.
"Your Harrison ID?" Lacey asked. "The one you used at the hotel?"
I pointed at her in confirmation "That's the one."
At least, that was the one I kept on me most of the time and one of the ones Finn and Annabeth grabbed when they first fled Melkin and Kerrington. I had a few others but I think they were still at the Kerrington house and I wasn't sure if Cam brought them back with him.
"Why do you still have that?" she asked.
I shrugged and before I could say anything, Ben said, "Yeah, why do you still have that?"
I glared at him because he knew exactly why I liked that ID so much. I raised my hand behind Lacey's head so she wouldn't see me flip him off.
"I like the name," I admitted weakly.
"Harrison?" Lacey asked.
"As in, Harrison Ford," Ben supplied. "And the first name is Luke. As in, Luke Skywalker."
Lacey stopped walking and looked at me.
"Well I couldn't use the last name Skywalker. And Han Solo's name wouldn't work..." I explained the thought process behind Luke Harrison.
Lacey observed me like she was seeing something on me or in me that I couldn't. It made me self conscious.
"Ben's is Mark Harrison, for Mark Hamill." I ratted him out so I wasn't alone in this boat.
He stopped laughing instantly.
"Travis," Lacey cocked her head to the side.
I clenched my jaw nervous for whatever she was about to say now that she knew my favorite fake ID stemmed from Star Wars. It was one of the few movies Ben and I watched religiously when we were kids and staying at his house.
"Where is your bag?" she asked.
"What bag?"
"Your bag," she pointed at me and then grabbed her own backpack.
Realization dawned on me and I ran back the way we came, not bothering to tell them where I was going or where my bag might be because I didn't currently know. It could be where I forgot about it and left it at the security gate or it could be on some random person's shoulders. The person could have all of my favorite clothes and plane ticket. Or it could be in the lost and found, if airports did that sort of thing. I wasn't sure.
I slowed to a fast walk when I got closer to security because I didn't want to give them a reason to arrest me.
On the ground near the end of the security conveyor belt near where I was putting my shoes on was my black bag. There was a small family near it, putting their own things back on. I squeezed between the toddler girl just standing there and her dad, who was resnapping his watch.
