chapter fourteen

~ 15 years later ~

"i'm home!" keiko my sister cousin yelled as she barged into our room that made me fall from my bed causing me to hit my head on the nightstand. she really does have a sweet irritating voice sometimes.

finally, she's home. she didn't come home for like a week for all i know. i wonder what she's been doing for the past few days.

"you could've knock you know." i exclaimed as i rubbed my head that knocked over the nightstand.

"oopsie" keiko said putting his hands over her mouth and went over to hugged me really tight. "you have no idea how much i missed you." she said once again.

"shut up, if you missed me then why didn't you bring me with you." i said as i pretended to be mad at her. to be honest, it's making me curious. i feel like there's something going on that she don't feel like sharing with me but i just thought that it's something personal.

if you're wondering how keiko became my sister is that her family adopted me. my half father and keiko's father were siblings so that what makes us cousins. when i was still 6 years old, my half parents got into a horrific accident and luckily, keiko's parents is so kindhearted that's why they decided to adopt me. keiko and i got really close ever since then and i would never let anyone to harm her.

at first, i find it really hard to be away from my real family but before i leave the demon world, i would come back once i found youko but also i feel like it would take 18 years since it'll be hard for me to find him with a young age when i'm still in a human form. i regained my powers when i was 10 and that's the reason why i always try to protect keiko. my half family were really kind and loving too that's why i grew to love them too. actually, i'm grateful that there's so much amazing people out here in the human realm because i really thought that everyone would try to harm me. i am extremely grateful to the point sometimes i tend to forget about finding youko.

"where have you been though?" i asked her as we broke our hug and let her unpack her things.

"just a short vacation with friends, that's all." keiko stated and i could sensed her lying. i really feel like she went somewhere that something has do with demon blooded creatures. from the smell of her clothes i could feel it. could she knew youko? nah, this world is huge that can't be possible.

"you're lying." i said as i crossed my arms on my chest and gave her a stern look in the eyes. she stopped organizing, "i'm not lying."

i huffed at her, "if you aren't then why are you not looking at me?" i asked as i raised my eyebrows at her that made her let out a deep sigh and went over to my bed to face me.

"okay fine, just promise me you won't tell anyone even from our mom and dad." she said finally giving in to me. she really can't hide anything from me since we're sisters. we had this bond that is unbreakable.

i nodded, "cross my heart and hope to die, i won't tell anyone. you know that i kept secrets very well." i stated and she started talking.

"well you won't be able to believe this either, i went to this place where demon blooded creatures are everywhere. the reason why i went there is because i was worried sick to yusuke and i didn't knew he will fight those creepy demons. i am sure glad that yusuke was able to defeat everyone in that tournament but still i couldn't help but to feel so weak everytime he would take punches from the opponents. i'm just glad yusuke's team won and now i'm here and very happy that i also met some friends."

i listened to every single word keiko had spoken. like urameshi yusuke was able to beat some strong ass demon blooded creatures? he surely isn't that full blooded human after all. yusuke was a pretty tough guy and he would never say 'no' to the gangsters who would pick a fight with him. i heard that his punches were extreme and it's weird that kuwabara kazuma seems to like getting punches from yusuke. anyways, who could be the members of yusuke's team?

"i believed you, don't worry. i encountered some creatures like that before but i just pay no attention." i said and giving her an assuring smile. she sighed in relief.

"oh thank god but i didn't know you already encountered them. aren't you scared?" she asked and i couldn't help but to chuckle at her. how i wish i could tell her about my powers but i feel like not telling her right now after hearing that yusuke has powers too.

"you know i always have pepper spray with me. anyways, who's this new friends of yours?" i asked

"master genkai, she's like a grandma to all of us and also she's yusuke's trainor to become strong. she died at first but koenma brought her back just like what he did to yusuke. botan, she is the spirit world's grim reaper. yukina, she's the ice apprentice and also kazuma's love. koenma, the prince of spirit world. hiei, not really that friendly enough but sure is kind. i'm also with shizuru since she wanted to see her baby brother as well. i can't really tell you his demon name since i'm kind of scared of him but he goes by the name minamino shuichi, he looks like a girl but sure is manly and he has this rose whip that cuts like chainsaw. lastly, maya. i find her annoying because all she talks about is how much she's 'inlove' with his boyfriend shuichi. she's kind too." she explained. her new friends must be really awesome but i couldn't help but to feel intrigued with that shuichi guy. there must be something in him and i feel like i want to know him ignoring the fact that he has a girlfriend.

i gave keiko a nod, "i would love to meet them." i stated. i could see her eyes brightens up with my words.

"i would love to bring you with me one day but on a one condition." she stated raising her index finger infront of my face.

i gave her a questioning look and she practically gave me the familiar cheeky smile. i just smacked her shoulders and gave in. my healing powers in the only thing she knows about me and i am always willing to take her body pain from being too stress.

why do i feel like i'll be able to know where youko is hiding himself?
