39: Kill Him

"Who are you talking about?" I hear a deep firm voice ask as he enters the room too. "Ah...no one important dad" I reply back nervously. Dad doesn't need to anything about Jungkook. It's not nothing to do with the mission so it's nothing he needs to know.

Dad stays standing in front of the sofa to my right rather than taking a seat. Seoho who is sitting on the one opposite me decides to get up and leave the room seeing that dad wants to talk to me. "So is it true?" My dad asks about the incident. I roll my eyes. "Yes, is it that unbelievable that Minjun got me?" I rhetorically ask back looking away from him.

"I'm not talking about Minjun...I'm talking about Jeon Jungkook" He says, looking darkly at me.

My eyes immediately shoot back at him. "What about Jungkook?" I snap defensively. My dad tilts his head observing my reaction to the mention of Jungkook in a bad way. "Did he really come to save you? Him? Out of everyone, a popular boy in your school risked so much to help you?" My dad asks me wanting to know about Jungkook. Which makes me nervous about why....and what he will do with this information. I can already sense something bad...

"Y-Yes" I reply quietly. I don't know where this is going but I don't like it already. Dad nods finding this interesting. "And I also heard one day when I wasn't home, you went to a formal dance with this boy?" He asks something I didn't even want him to know.

I widen my eyes at his question. He isn't supposed to know that! I immediately think that Seoho spilled the beans on me and told him. But then he was the one who suggested not to tell dad so I don't think he would. But dad knows. And now I'm in trouble...

"Don't think you can hide it from me, Minhee? I have sources everywhere to tell me" Dad tells me with his signature dark tone. I feel my throat start to dry as I can't help but feel on the edge. Dad starts to stroll forwards as he talks, "And isn't he the same boy who you hung out with a few months ago at some cafe? And the same boy who you took to complete the mission on eliminating Sukchin too? Isn't he the boy the who came to our house drunk a while ago?" Dad turns around and starts to pace back as well.

I sit there silently watching him walk back and forth as my heart starts pumping faster. He's going to do something...I know it. I've screwed up. I'm a fool to think dad would not find out. I should have never been friends with Jungkook...

Then my dad stops right in front of me and gazed down at me. "Haven't you been seeing this boy a lot recently?" He asks, giving me a sinister look. I gulp slightly not meeting his eyes. "He...He's a friend I made" I nervously speak, scared what of my dad's cunning and monstrous mind will do next.

"Oh....and since when did you start making friends, Choi Minhee?" Dad crosses his arms and raises a brow menacingly. "I thought you stay clear of other people that aren't businesses related?"

"I...I do. But Jungkook is the one who keeps bothering me at school. I can't control what these people do at school" I make up a half hearted excuse. It's true but sort of not...
Of course my dad will not buy any of it.
"Since when did you start making excuses huh? 'But this, this, this'. There is no 'buts'!" Dad says louder loosing his temper a bit which means anything but good.

I sigh looking down as I don't know what I've gotten myself into. I'm panicking inside at how this will end. "This...friend of yours seems to be quite close to you now. Seeing how you went to a dance with him. And trusted him with helping you on a mission to not spill anything" He says staring directly at me as he continued to interrogate our relationship but I can't look up at his powerful gaze.

"You think I can't see what's going on?!" Dad yells at me intimidatingly. That's when I shoot my eyes up at him. "What do you mean, 'what's going on'? There's nothing going on!" I ignorantly speak back.
