After the chrome light faded, I found myself in the hospital basement where I first met Night.
Even though I sacrificed those memories why would they leave this one. Oh that's right, all the memories of after I met Night where gone. Well, I can always make more.
She was sitting on the bench playing with the children that had been harmed. They were laughing and giggling as Night told them stories. When she saw one of the children alone in the corner, she walked over to her. "Tomi, why are you so sad looking? What's the matter?" She said sitting down next to the child, starting to try to cheer her up.
"Night my mother said I wouldn't be able to go home. She said I might not get better." The child then started to cry.
"Shh, shh, shh. That's not true. You will get better if you believe you can. Ya know that's how I got better."
She rubbed her eyes. "But you were never sick."
"Yes I was," Night coughed. "See, I still have a little while to go till you at me and all the other children get better."
She picked the child up "Tomi, just leave all your worries with me. It'll be fine. I promise. You shouldn't worry about things like that. Now go play. You'll be ok. We all will.
She put the child down and she ran to play with the other children after she gave Night a hug. As they played around Night sat on the bench with a sad smile. She looked troubled.
Then the memory blurred, like I was in a dream. The scene changed.
It was a couple of weeks after I met Night she stood at the vending machine with me. Looking up I asked if she wanted anything. She shook her head, "No, I'm not in the mood." Just looking at the ground. Sad.
"Why won't you cheer up. You've been so down lately."
"It's nothing, really." She tried to put on a smile. She could have fooled anyone.
I was desperate to change the subject, so I asked her "Why are you here anyway? You don't look sick or injured."
"I live here," she said with a sad smile. "My turn to ask the question. Why do you dress like Masky?"
That came to me as a shock. Only thing I could think of so, "Oh, I'm a fan... I guess. How'd you know about that?"
She raised her hand halfway. "Im a fan too. I read a much as I can. Sometimes I feel like if I read the stories and listen to the videos I could actually be apart of the story somehow...somehow." She snapped out of her daze and looked at me. "Weird right?"
"No, I don't think it's weird. I've felt the same." I chuckled. If only I could tell her, I thought.
"Really?" Night said. "Mak, you're a really good friend. I feel like I've known you forever. Thanks, I'm better now. Lets go find something in the kitchen, I'm hungry."
"Yeah, you too," I said following her to the kitchen.
That's when the memories ended. I found myself in the basement of the hospital. "Why...well im not complaining. Anyway to look for Night. I walked up to the exit and looked around.
The town changed a bit.The shop that was across the street is gone. Replaced by 3 houses. "Well whatever, I have to find Night." I walked down Howard St. and found that same old police station followed by the fire station and mall. After I asked some people and got nothing I deciced to walk to Johnson Ave. and found Night talking to a guy...that looked like a smaller version of Slender Man, but he had tanned skin. Then I saw the man put a rag over her face. I ran to try to help her but by the time I got there she was already in a car and turning to 38.5 Ave. "Oh, god no."
