Who Are You?

I turned see who said said that. I saw a woman, in about her early twenties. She looked at me, very concerned. She had a red-ish, orange blonde hair that went to her shoulders. About 5'10, with grey eyes and freckles, she looked a lot like me. I sat up and asked, "Who are you?"

The woman stepped back in suprise. "Wait, you can see me?"

Obviously, "I'm talking to you aren't I?" I replied, a bit to smart-assy.

"You can hear me as well? How?"

"Yes," I said back to her. "I can see you perfectly. Am I not supposed to?"

"No, you are not," the woman replied. "Only I am supposed to see you." She walked up close, staring. "You have really grown beautiful, and you have a large grasp on decifering magic. That's my girl!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what is up with you." My voice grew angrier. "And who are you?"

She looked slightly hurt, but hid it. Well. "That is not a nice thing to say. I am called Maeve, and I, Nyx, am your mother. Your real one." She curtsied.

My mouth was gaping. "You must be insane. I was told my mother died millennia ago."

"I did...technically." She replied. "My father, well father-in-law, Slenderman's father, took me in and revived me. I wasn't dead per-say, but I was quite close. He made me immortal and I was to learn magic, so I could protect myself, and here I am now." She smiled. I just sat there, not knowing what to say or do. "So anyway, " breaking the silence she said, "Why are you here?"

"I was kidnapped. " I said bluntly. "About two weeks ago, maybe more, I don't know. No windows mean no light, just artificial. If that." I pointed to the flickering lightbulb, up in the corner by the door.

"Why did you leave the mansion? You looked fine."

I dropped my head. "Heh, they didnt tell me much about what I wanted to know, and that day, I just snapped. So I left."

"That day? What was 'that day'?"

I was finally going to get my long awaited tour, and we passed a door. Suddenly my neck started to hurt, so I looked at it. Sally turned around to face me and then she called Slender. He came I I asked what was wrong. He said nothing was wrong, and that was when I blew it. All because of a glowing door and this," I said pointing to the mark on my neck.

"Oh," she said as she looked at the symbol engraved into my skin. She looked surprised. "That is like the seal." She looked at me in wonder and shock as she asked , "Did the door have the same markings?"

"Umm, yes," I replied, trying to think.

"Then yes. That is the seal." She said. "I have read about it, but I have never seen it yet in real life."

"What is it? This symbol."

"It is the key to a sealed spell...on the door I presume. If You recite the spell, the seal will lift and the room would be accessible. But since you have the key on you, only you can go through those doors."

"Why do I have it, why me?" I questioned.
