Hell

I clung to Jam as he flew us down to Hell. He had me wear specialized sunglasses so none of the Demons down there looked me in my eyes directly.

He held me close his chest, his grip firm. He was nervous, preparing for a fight, I could feel it with his magic.

When there was a quick flash of red light, I turned my head into Mr. Jam's chest, my grip tightening. I didn't like that flash of light. It felt painfully warm, hurting me some.

Yet, the blistering heat faded into a soft, summer warm. This made me relax, slowly looking out into the Realm of Pain and Punishment.

Surprisingly, the world looked peaceful. There were lots of buildings along with large forests of twistings trees that threatened to take over the sky.  However, it looked as though everything was in a large cave system... Honestly, it probably was.

Swiftly, Mr. Jam started to fly us to the large, warped castle that seemed to be made from several large stalactites and stalagmites. It was around here that there was fire. The fire glowed hotly, shifting from white and red. It curved around a few of the castle's towers, even going into the windows of the tower, but I couldn't hear anything from these fires.

"Despite popular belief, no one really screams up here. The torturing and punishment are deeper in the System." My Demon spoke smoothing, his body turning some as he landed on his feet softly.

I looked up to him, watching as he took his glasses off, slipping them into his side pocket. I couldn't help, but bite my lip with an inaudible whine. I wanted to see the actual color of his eyes, but with my sunglasses, I couldn't... I hated it.

A chuckled rumbled from his body, his lips curving into a sweet smile. Quickly, he gave my forehead a soft kiss, his arms gently squeezing me.

"I heard that~" His teasing tone made a bright blush appear on my cheeks. "Now, lets go see what those knuckleheads are doing."

For a moment, I felt confused, till I remembered why we were down there originally.

Mr. Jam was called for another meeting, but I didn't want to be left alone again. It took a lot of begging and puppy eyes, but he finally said yes! I wanted to see what Hell was like, since the Black book didn't really describe Hell the same way as Mom and the other Angels describe it.

"Jammy," A nasally voice called out, a rough hand on my shoulder. "What are you doing with this thing?"

I tilted my head back some, looking at a snake like demon. She was wearing a flashy collar, or maybe it was a choker?

"Leave us, Jill" Mr. Jam hissed at her, quickly slapping her hand away from me. "I'm going to be late for a meeting."

With those words, he stormed away from her, his lips forming a sneer. He really didn't like her.

Taking a deep breath, he stopped after walking down a few hallways.

I looked up at him, confused and worried. Was he angry at her for touching me? Was she the reason that he lied to me?

"M-Mr. Jam?" I whispered.

The sweet Demon looked to me, his annoyed expression softening as he shifted his hold on me. Gently, he moved a hand to my cheek, stroking it gently.

"She didn't scratch you, did she?" He looked worried, his eyes looking to my shoulder.

My shoulder felt fine, so I shook my head. Still, his worried look didn't change, so I gently pulled the sleeve of shirt down, showing him that my bones were fine. There was minor bruising, but that was about it.

He sighed some and finally seemed to relax. He then looked down at me, bit his lip some before gently setting me on the ground.

The ground swiftly warmed my feet, but it didn't actually hurt me. This made me smile happily at Mr. Jam.

The Demon blushed some with a soft smirk, but he then looked away from me, gently grabbing my hand and pulling me along with him.

I happily skipped beside him, relaxed. I'm safe here, as long as I'm by Jam's side.
