We walked around town, his head held high, back straight, his body radiating power.

It seemed like this was a natural state as I watched plenty of powerful night Demons fly, teleport, and even run away! I know it's not because of me, a Passive is terribly weaker during the night... The only reasonable person causing all that, would be he... But why?

Soon we walked to a building that I've never seen before... It gave off a dark aura as two men waited outside by the double doors.

They growled when they saw me, making me step closer to the nice Demon.

"Quiet growling." He hissed at them, they instantly shutting up. "Come on, kid." His voice softened when he address me, making me nod.

I kept close to him as I saw High and Low Class Demons stare me down. Yet, they did nothing as they whispered. I may not know what they were saying exactly, but I knew it wasn't anything good...

When we reached the receptionist's desk, the woman glanced down at me through her tainted sunglass, her cold eyes sparkling with kindness.

"Hello, sweet heart." The woman smiled at me, showing her pointed teeth. "Now, why are you in here?" She asked, as if she didn't know who was next to me... Well, I didn't know who exactly was next to me either, so I guess it was fair.

"I-I don't k-know... H-He t-took me h-here..." I whimpered softly, which made her frown slightly.

Her eyes looked at Mr. Jam, they cooling like ice. She and he stared at each other for a few moments, before she nodded.

Her gaze turned to me, her smile coming back.

"I hope you enjoy your stay, honey. And please stay away from all the other Demons, I don't want you to get hurt. Okay?" Her held out her hand, as if trying to make a deal with me.

I nodded, slowly taking her hand. She must've been a human before turning into a Demon... Poor woman...

A small bit of pain enflamed my hand as we shook. Once done, I saw that I had her symbol on my palm, it must've made sure that we couldn't break our promise. Not that I would even think of doing that...

With that done she handed Jam a silver key and gave me a purple colored lollipop.

Me and the nice Demon moved through out the building, taking the stairs instead of the elevator. I didn't ask about that, it must've been something about the others being Demons and me being an Angel...

"Sorry about her... She once was a mother... She still is overprotective of children... Even Angel's children." Jam explained, opening a door to a small hotel room. "It's small, but should do for the night."

I quickly walked in, waiting for him to come through. He did so, setting my sweets on top of a small desk.

"Do you want something to eat?" He questioned, moving to the kitchen after he relocked the door.

"Y-Yes, please..." I muttered, setting the Lolli in my hand down.

"Hey," The Demon quickly made his way over to me, tilting my head up so I could look at him. "I'm not going to hurt you, and no one here is going to hurt you... If someone even tries, just say my name, I'm there. Plus with that mark, Ms. Vo would be able to assist you if you need help and only she can open that door as she has the other key." He told me, his words soothing me.

I nodded, giving a small smile. He smiled back and left to go to the kitchen.

"Now I only know how to cook one thing, so I hope you like BLT with some scrambled eggs and toast." He called, making me laugh.

"I love breakfast for dinner!" I chirped, sitting at the small dining table.

I felt him glance at me as I watched him cook. I know it sounds weird, but I like watching people cook... It's probably because I learn more from watching than reading and doing... It's odd really, but I don't mind.

"Here you go." Mr. Jam placed a BLT sandwich with some scrambled eggs and toast in front of me, it looking really good!

I giggled at him, making a silly face. He chuckled softly, his face changing color. It was peaceful pink color, pretty really.

I then went to eat the food, which caused him to make some questioning noise.

"Don't you Angels pray or something?" He asked aloud.

I shook my head, quickly swallowing the rather good eggs.

"No. We don't have to, for who do we pray for? Our Mother is a bit busy with the mortals to hear us and we are strong enough to take care of our own." I stated, nodding. "Besides, what's the best way to be grateful for food than just eating it?" I giggled softly.

Jam nodded, smiling at me. I smiled back, going back to the warm food. After we ate and washed our dishes, we decided to watch some TV.

It was a small mortal movie called the Bee Movie... It was a bit funny, but... I was bored... I slowly started falling asleep, clinging to the nearest person. Which was Jam.

He looked down at me confused, until he saw my droopy eyes.

"Bed time?" He joked.

"Hmm..." I nodded softly, growing more and more tired.

He picked me up and placed me on something so soft that the clouds seem like rocks compared to it!

"This is sin..." I groaned, curling up in the bed, letting it softness surround me.

"How is it sin?" Jam questioned, the bed dipping to him.

"It's too soft... Softer than the clouds... It's a sin in it self..." I weakly growled, loving how the softness wrapped me up.

The Demon chuckled as he pulled the sheets up above me. I snuggled into them, cling to him before he could leave.

"You want me to sleep with you?" I could tell he was raising an eyebrow.

I said nothing, but tightened my hold every time he moved to get up. The bed felt so lonely and cold without him...

He sighed, lifting me into his lap and laid down. He laid on his side, having my back to his chest. I liked the feeling it gave me... And with that, I fell asleep.
