Me and Mr. Jam walked through the calm streets in the early morning. No one was really out, so it was the perfect time to spread my wings and just fly back home. I was just stalling.
"I-I'll see you as soon as I can, Mr. Jam!" I told him, giving him a sweet smile as my wings fluttered behind me.
He smiled down at me and nodded, his eyes, even from behind his glasses, were sad... Sad to see me go...
With a small jump, I was high in the air, much higher than what the mortals could see. My wings beat against the cool winds, they shifting my feathers back into place as I flew up into the clouds.
The moist dew of the clouds tickled my bones as I giggled, lightly flying around in them before going higher. Mom was so going to be mad at me for being away for so long.
Carefully, I flew to the large Castle of Heaven. It was actually scary looking if you were new and not use to the sight of the place. Honestly, some new comers think that they're in purgatory!
The Castle was surrounded on all sides by these great, pure white marble walls with only one way in(that they know of); a gateway where Aggressive Angels make sure you're worthy enough to see the High King. Then there's the large buildings made out of Gold, Silver, Diamond and other things, shining in the never dying Sun of our home. Near the back of the entrance was a large, Golden tower where the King of the Heavens, along with many other royal bloods, live, it's top being covered with onyx so the sun wouldn't heat up the Human Realm below. Even with all the shining gold and silver and stuff like that, even with the smiling faces of the Passive Angels, it still can get pretty terrifying for someone who doesn't know what's going on as the main part of the castle was made from white stones that were slowly turning to a greyish-yellow color from age.
I flew through the back entrance as I knew the Angels out front would question me heavily while forcibly escorting me to Mom. I didn't want to deal with that.
I took a deep breath as I flew to the throne room, where Mom and Dad most likely were.
I gulped as I settled down on the floor, my wings lightly twitching. I pushed the broad doors open to see the sunlit room, a dark boned skeleton sitting on a large, modest throne.
The dark boned skeleton wore a flowing dress of what would've had many thinking they were made of the peaceful night sky. The dress really was made out of a mixture of soft silk and velvet. The long sleeves were bunched up in a few areas as they covered the throne's armrests.
It didn't take long for the King of Heaven to spot me, as he was in front of me instantly. His large, delicate wings that were the colors of twilight puffed out when Mom pulled me into his tight hug.
"Where have you been! I sent out most of the Guards to search for you!" Mom cried out, worry heavy in his eyes as he stared down at me.
I pulled away from his hug and hugged myself, I didn't want to be near his anger and worry... Sometimes it hurts to be near someone with those potent emotions.
"I-I was in the Mortal Realm... I-I lost track of time..." I muttered, keeping my head bowed.
Mom huffed, lightly stomping his foot. Yeah, just because he was wearing a dress, doesn't mean he can't handle himself. Nor does it mean he doesn't act childish some days.
"You've been gone for several Earth days, Freshy! I thought he had taken you!" The young King shouted, the hall echoing his voice.
"But he didn't, Mother! I was with a nice Fallen! They protected me from all of the Demons." I lied quietly. I couldn't let Mom know that I was with a thrown out Demon, he would flip!
Dad sighed, pulling Mom into a slightly heated kiss, making me blush and turn away. I didn't like it when they did that.
For a few minutes the two just kiss, before Mom, pulled away from Dad. They were lightly panting before they both faced me.
"Freshy, you're grounded for five months. I don't care who you were with, you should've came back the next day to ask to stay longer! You know I worry about you!" The dark skeleton told me, cupping my cheeks so I could look up into his shrouded eyes. "It's for the best if you just stay here for five months... Besides, you need to start your training, you are my heir, the next God to take the throne when me and Eraser have become one with the stars."
I winced at the last bit. I didn't want to stay here for so long, special since I told my friend that I was going to come back as soon as possible. I also didn't want to hear anything about them dying...
You see, when an Angel or Demon truly die, they become stars, the more purer they were(whether good or evil) the brighter the star they become. Still, I didn't want them to die, I didn't want to be alone... But I couldn't stop it. No one can.
"O-Okay..." I nodded, pulling away again. "I-I'm go-going to Halluciv and Indigo's." I whispered, running away before they could say other wise.
I needed to talk with them... They'll understand...
