Freedom From Heaven

I took a deep breath of the chilling fall air as me and my friends glided down to Earth.

I finally was ungrounded! The five months were complete torture! But now I was free!

"Where can we land, the forest no longer belongs to us." My red and blue eyed friend shouted over the loud winds as we did a few circles over the dense forest that I knew and loved.

"Just don't get caught!" I laughed as I zipped down, the other's quickly following my lead.

We zoomed through the dense trees, easily passing Land Demons without waking them, making it near the edge of their territory before landing.

We all held bright smiles on our faces, giggles floating around our forms as we rushed to the other side of the town.

With our wings tightly tucked away, we began to jump and run around the city, laughing as we did so, but all good things come to an end eventually.

"Well, hello there, kids." A dog monster smiled at us, clapping a hard hand on my shoulder.

I shook slightly as I looked up at him. His eyes filled with cold, undying lust. Not even an incubus would hold that intense emotion.

"H-Hello..." I mumbled, twisting out of his grip, backing closer to my friends. Mother had thought it'd be best if they came along as bodyguards. "W-What do... What do you want, Mister?" I mumbled, looking off to the side.

"Nothing at all. I just wanted to make sure that you children weren't here alone." The mortal continued to smile sweetly at me and my friends as his own group started to grin.

I whimpered softly, backing up even more.

Halluciv glared sweetly at the mortal as Indigo pulled me into a comforting hug. I knew they were about to get into a fight with the mortals, something that I really didn't want.

"Hey, what's going on here?" A deep voice asked, a pale bone hand pushing the dog mortal away from me and my friends.

The skeleton monster wore a black shirt with a white jacket over it that had a large black X on the back, and some black pants that had white X's on the pockets. He oddly wore a silver circlet around his head and underneath one of his eyes was a ruby red scar. He held this angry, unfazed look as he glared down at the other monster. Well, I assumed he was glaring as his eyes were covered by sunglasses.

"We-" The crude mortal tried to speak, only to get shoved into his friends by another white skeleton.

This skeleton had eyes in an odd shape of a four pointed star, they also seemed to be colored a red like color, but I couldn't tell from his soft sunglasses. He wore a bumblebee yellow baseball cap with a rosewood pink stitching of demon wings on the side. His outfit consisted of a deep butterscotch yellow jacket that fitted him well, underneath it was a plain white shirt with a soft blue colored picture of a rock band. His pants were a steel blue color with several rips and tears at the knees.

"What the hell!" The awful mortal yelled at the two very powerful Demons, his eyes darkening with fear. "We weren't doing anything wrong!" He continued as he tried to back up.

"Leave the kid alone, dickhead." A dark boned skeleton growled, lightly whacking the pathetic mortal in the head.

Mr. Jam walked away from the mortal as they rubbed the back of their head, to me. He knelt down to my small height and gave me a calm grin as Indigo's grip tightened more.

"Hey, kiddo, long time no see." He reached a hand out to rub my head, but the blue-red eyed monster stepped back, worry flashing through his face.

I rolled my eyes at him and gently pulled away. They had to see that Mr. Jam meant me no harm.

"Hi, Mr. Jam! I brought my friends with me this time!" I chirped, smiling brightly.

He chuckled at me, lightly rubbing my head as the other Demons stared at my friends through their sunglasses.

"I can see that. Hey, why don't we head to this new café, heard it has some good food." The kind Demon stood back up, taking my hand into his.

I beamed up at him nodding.

Lucy giggled at me, happily skipping over to the black and white skeleton. 

"Hi! I'm Lucy!" He chirped, hugging the Demon's waist.

He gave my overly friendly friend a confused look, before deciding to pat him on the head... Which is a wrong move on his part.

"I wouldn't've done that." Indi snickered, hopping next to me as the black and white skeleton was forced to carry my small friend as he wouldn't let him go.

I giggled at Lu's odd behavior, but that was Lu for ya!

Jam smiled down at me again, easily picking me up.

"H-Hey! Who the hell are ya guys!" The mortal shouted, eyes growing wild.

"Names Jam, remember it well, mortal." He grumbled, lowering his glasses just enough for the other to see.

The mortal's eyes widen in terror as the demon most likely used some magic to make him scared.

I frowned and lightly hit his chest, giving a small huff to show that I was unamused by his trick.

He simply shrugged and started to walk down the street to where this new café was, after fixing his glasses of course.

"What's your guys' names?" I asked, cuddled safely in my demonic friend's hold. I don't really know why I would describe his hold as safe, but it was... It felt like he wasn't going to hurt me, but like he was going to keep me far away from anything dangerous, and protect me if I wanted to be somewhere dangerous.

"I'm Winter." The guy wearing the bumblebee yellow baseball cap nodded his head gently as he held Indi's hand.

"I'm Xcellence..." He paused for a second. "Um... What's wrong with your friend? He won't let go." The poor Demon complained, trying to set Lucy down.

Me and Indigo just giggled as we held knowing smiles. We weren't going to tell him anything, what fun would it be if we did!

"You really shouldn't've patted his head." I purred out in a sing-song voice.

He groaned softly.

"I know now."
