I smiled softly as I woke up. That smile though faded when I realized I was in my room, not the hotel room I share with my Demon friend.

I quickly noticed I was changed into a simple nightgown with my thick blankets on top of my body. It was too warm for my liking. It always was.

I frowned some and kicked off the blankets, sitting up in the large bed.

It was dark outside, very dark. I had been sleeping for hours?

I frowned more. Why didn't Mr. Jam wake  me?

Sighing quietly, I attempted to move my body to the right. Suddenly a sharp pain seared from my forearm up my shoulder and into my back.

I hissed some, quickly looking down to see why.

Right there, sitting peacefully on my bones was an enchanted bracelet. A bracelet meant for trapping Angels to an object or room.

Whimpering quietly, I shifted back onto my bed. The pain faded before disappearing.

My frown deepened more before twisting with anger. Was Mother grounding me again? And to my bed this time!

Just as the thought passed through, the Lord himself entered my room.

Mother's soft eyes were hard with worry and fear. He then relaxed and smiled to sweetly, which I didn't return.

Quietly, I raised my arm, showing him the bracelet. I was more than angry now.

Her smile fell. Her mouth fell into a firm, annoyed line.

"I'm not taking it off you... But I will expand where you can go."

I felt my eyes widen, my mouth twisting into a sneer.

"Mother! You can't keep me here forever!" I yelled at her. "What did I do wrong this time? Was befriending a Demon that bad?" I continued, my body jumping out of my overbearing bed.

Instantly pain burned across my body, making my knees weak and my head spin, but I pushed it aside. I was too angry to care how bad it could get.

My dark boned Mother growled at me, her large star like wings expanding and opening. She was trying to threaten me now!?

"He isn't just a demon! You have to know that, Freshy! He is dangerous!" One of his hands waved at a wall, in the direction of Hell. "He's a true monster, he's worse than any Devil King that had ever taken over! He knows-"

"I don't care!" I screamed at Mother. "I don't care if he's dangerous! He's nice and gentle with me! He protects me from all the other Demons!" I huffed at her, my arm and part of my chest going numb from the pain. "He cares about me, why can't you just accept that." I growled lowly.

Mother's eyes widen as her feathers fluffed up. She was more than angry now, more than threatening...

The pain became clear and almost unbearable at this point. I forced myself back onto my bed, just to make the pain stop and hopefully calm Mom down.

That didn't work.  Not one bit.

"He's using, Freshy. He's a Demon who can smell royalty on you. He knew you were mine long before this day. And as long as you see him as a friend, I shall keep you locked in your room." Her voice was soft and calm, but she wasn't. No, she was pissed and almost hungry for Demon blood. "Now I suggest you behave if you want visitors that aren't you teachers."

With those last words, she made her way to my door. When she had opened it, she hesitated.

"Please understand I'm doing this for your safety." Mother turned her head to look at me.

Her eyes were no longer angry, but soft with worry and fear. She truly thought she was doing this to help me.

I said nothing and looked away. My refusal to answer made her leave, unnecessarily locking the door behind her.

My sockets started to burn as tears formed in them, but I didn't want them to fall. Mother wouldn't do this to me... Father would calm her down and she'll let me out...

They... They had to... Right?
