One Shot: Turn it up

"Explain, explain explain," Taehyung said as he followed Jeongyeon around.

Jeongyeon was doing her best to avoid him by moving from one location to another in their large apartment, but Taehyung trailed behind her, troubling her.

"Taehyung-ah, go find it yourself; don't ask me," Jeongyeon said as she sat on the sofa.

She is tired of walking around trying to avoid his question.

Taehyung sat down beside her immediately.

"All you have to do is answer it, and I will zip my mouth," Taehyung said, causing Jeongyeon to sigh.

"Interpret the song by yourself, Taehyung-ah." Jeongyeon tried once more.

She cannot say it without feeling embarrassed.

"I can not find anything; all they were saying was 'I did not expect this,' 'I thought Sana wrote a cute song,' 'the underlying meaning beneath the song broke me,' and so on." Taehyung reiterated the comments made by others.

Jeongyeon held her head in her hands, trying to figure out how to get out of the situation.

Taehyung realized it was not as cute as they claimed after seeing Jeongyeon's fancam of the "Strawberry" ballad version during their concert.

To confirm his doubts, he went looking for the song's lyric video, and yes, he heard and read that it is not cute.

And what piqued his interest the most were the comments on another song from the same album, "Turn it up," written by Sana.

He had heard the song and found nothing unusual, but Onces' comments piqued his curiosity.

Furthermore, they are not stating it clearly; there were only vague responses.

Even after hearing the song for the second time, he still did not understand what it meant.

He halted his research and intended to ask the artist herself, obviously Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon was taken aback when he asked her to explain the song.

Even though they went a step further, she is still shy when discussing 'that thing' casually.

She attempted to divert his attention away from his demand, but Taehyung was determined to find out what it meant.

"Explain again," Taehyung said.

He is acting like a child eager to hear a bedtime story.

"Taehyung-ah, it's....you will understand when you hear the song," Jeongyeon attempted.

"I didn't understand anything; I tried to interpret it with my genius brain, but I couldn't." Taehyung pouted.

Jeongyeon also pouted, expressing her helplessness, and Taehyung kissed her on the lips.

"Tell me," Taehyung said, lying down on the couch, his head on her lap, his face buried in her stomach, his arms wrapped around her waist.

"Should I ask Sana?" Taehyung asked, noting Jeongyeon's hesitation to speak.

He does not want to bother her, so he can asks the writer directly.

"NO," Jeongyeon exclaimed, looking down at Taehyung with wide eyes.

He looked perplexed by her outburst.

"Don't ask her" Jeongyeon repeated.

First and foremost, Jeongyeon was certain Sana would not explain it, and secondly, she was certain Taehyung would be embarrassed if he found out the true meaning of the song, and then he would regret asking Sana at all.

"Okay, let me tell you," Jeongyeon finally said, and Taehyung smiled gleefully.

"You must have figured out that the song is not as cute as it appears," Jeongyeon began.

Taehyung nodded his head.

"Why do you think so?" Jeongyeon asked, raising her brow.

"Because Onces said so," Taehyung stated.

"Haa Onces...." Jeongyeon sighed.

Taehyung poked her waist, forcing her to focus on him.

"The song.... it's about.... about...." Jeongyeon felt embarrassed and was unable to complete the sentence.

"About"? Taehyung became very curious after noticing her red face.

"Itisallaboutmakinglove" Jeongyeon said, without a pause.

"What"? Taehyung was puzzled by her statement.

"I am not going to repeat it; find it yourself," Jeongyeon said, pushing Taehyung away from her lap and standing up to head to their bedroom.

"What is that?" Taehyung wondered.

He kept repeating the sentence.

"Itis al lab out ma king love"?

What kind of language is this? Taehyung frowned as he thought.

He stood up, having suddenly understood the sentence.

"It is all about making love hawwww" Taehyung clasped his hands over his mouth, stunned.

He was truly stunned.

The initial topic was about hickeys, which he accepted.
But whenever Taehyung looks at his favourite strawberries, his mind wanders.

This new information had shaken him; he had not expected this song to be about 'that'.

"My God," Taehyung exclaimed, fanning himself.

He rushed to their bedroom.

"That was illegal!" Taehyung exclaimed as he approached Jeongyeon.

She was lying on her side.

"What is up with you?" Jeongyeon asked deliberately, ignoring the fact that he had finally figured out what the song meant.

"Your songs are messing up my sanity," Taehyung complained.

"Cleanse it with your songs," Jeongyeon stated, closing her eyes.

"The problem is, I can't," Taehyung stated sincerely.

The "Strawberry" song had never left his mind, and he found it difficult to control himself in the presence of Jeongyeon.

This song had officially shattered his mind. He doubts he will ever be able to look Twice members in the eyes.

"Taehyung-ah, sleep if you want," Jeongyeon murmured.

Taehyung slipped next to her. Jeongyeon opened one eye to look at him.

He has a pout in his mouth and a frown on his forehead.

"What"? She asked.

"I am so embarrassed," Taehyung muttered.

"Really"? Jeongyeon is amused.

"It would have been embarrassing if I had asked Sana," Taehyung said, frowning.

Jeongyeon kissed his forehead, wiping away the annoying frown.

"That is why I said. "End of the topic; now sleep," Jeongyeon said.

Taehyung sulked again.

"Now what?" Jeongyeon asked, looking his face.

"I am unable to keep my hands to myself," Taehyung admitted.

That is when Jeongyeon noticed his hands were held behind him.

Jeongyeon chuckled.
She moved to his side, bringing his hands to her waist.

She embraced him, prompting Taehyung to place his head on her bossom.

"Sleep for now; we have plans tomorrow," Jeongyeon murmured.

Taehyung placed his legs on her hips, completing the cuddle, and squeezed her slowly as they fell asleep.
