1977 began with a bang. For Sirius and Eloise anyway...if you know what I mean..for others it started with a kiss, that resulted in one person getting ignored by the other.
"So let me get this straight you snogged my brother on New Years and now you're completely ignoring him?" said Eloise confused with her friends behaviour grimacing in disgust as she popped another Bertie bots into her mouth "vomit flavour"
"Yes!" sighed Lily exasperatedly
"Why are you ignoring him though?" asked Eloise extremely confused as the other girls hum in agreement.
"Because I don't want him to think that I fancy him!"
"But you do..."
"No I don't"
As this was said the compartment door burst open to reveal Sirius and Remus. Eloises attention was quickly taken off of the subject of lily and James as she turned to face her boyfriend grinning as she caught his eye.
"Ladies" Winked the dark haired boy sitting down next to his girlfriend giving her a peck on the cheek greeting her "hello gorgeous".
"hi" whispered the girl grinning at the boy and blushing slightly at the nickname.
"Blagh" Marlene fake gagged "it was cute to begin with but now not so much.."
"Oh shut up Marls" scolded Alice "I'm gonna go find frank" sighed the girl slightly dazed at the thought of the boy.
"Use protection!" called remus as the girl left the compartment in search for her boyfriend making the rest of the compartment snort in laughter.
"What are you girls gossiping about." smirked Sirius looking between the three.
"How lily fancies James, they snogged on New Years" said Marlene with a shrug taking a large bite out of her turkey sandwich.
"I do not fancy James!" huffed the girl folding her arms over her chest glaring at the blonde.
"Where is James anyway?" asked Eloise "it's strange to see you without him"
"Getting stuff from the trolly" answered Sirius before continuing "Come on Evans, give the bloke a break and admit you fancy him!"
"But he's so arrogant and bullies so many people-"
"My brother is no bully, and if you're referring to Snape they're just as bad as each other, back in first year when he insulted him Snape was just as bad when he said about James wanted to be sorted into Gryffindor, now thinking about it he kinda insulted you too but didn't know at the time but he said-and I quote miss Evans, ahem, 'if you'd rather be brawny than brainy'- so don't give me all that 'oh James Potter is a bully' no he's not him and Severus have a weird relationship where they both insult and hex each other an equal amount, if James is a bully so is Severus" Eloise paused taking a breath "and you haven't taken the time to get to know the real James Potter, he's great, if you don't like James you don't like me, we're twins we come as a package deal, two for the price of one. But what i'm trying to say is if you just gave him a chance you would see just how caring he really is" sighed the girl. "You know in second year he hexed a boy for calling me ugly? don't even get me started on how many people he's hexed for calling someone a mudblood but you wouldn't know that because you refuse to give him the time of day. Just give him a chance and only focus on the bad things he does, maybe if you looked at James the way you look at Snape, you'd be able to see that James is actually the nicer of the pair, Lils you might be my best friend but he's my brother and I will choose him always."
