An hour later and Odell still isn't here, but the food is and now it's cold. I'm honestly extremely pissed off now and decide that if he isn't here in the next hour that I'm leaving and going to my hotel that I still have booked. I don't understand why he couldn't just be honest with me about where he was going and then still try and follow through with the lie. After another twenty minutes, I hear the front door open so I look over to see that Odell is finally here.
"Hey ma, I'm sorry. I got caught up in traffic and my phone died." He says and I sigh, but just let it go for now.
"That's fine. The food is in the kitchen, we just have to warm it up." I say standing up and walking to the kitchen.
"You mad?" I hear him ask as I sort out food on plates and I look up at him.
"No." I say simply as I start warming the food up in the microwave.
"Who's this from?" He then asks and I look over to see him holding the present that Jarvis dropped off.
"Jarvis." I say and he looks up at me quickly and I wait for him to say something but he doesn't and instead just opens the bag anyways. I roll my eyes annoyed as I grab our food out of the microwave. We then eat together without saying much and as Odell cleans up the kitchen I stand on the other side of the island.
"So isn't Jarvis one of your teammates?" I ask and he looks over at me and nods. "Why wasn't he at the team meeting then?" I ask pretending to be clueless.
"I guess he didn't show up or he didn't get the call. I don't know, he's the one that has to pay the fine for not being there." He says shrugging then turning back the other way and I nod as I squint my eyes slightly.
"Mm.. okay. Why did he tell me that you guys in fact didn't have a meeting and that he would be there if you guys did?" I then ask and I see him take a deep breath before he turns to me.
"What did he tell you?" He asks crossing his arms and I shrug.
"I don't know. Why don't you tell me where you really were?" I ask crossing my own arms and raising my brows.
"Man. I don't know why you're acting like this. We're not even together." He says throwing his arms in the air.
"I know that. But I also know that it's nice to be honest with where you're going all day even just to a friend." I say and he sighs and looks down. He then starts walking towards the stairs and nods for me to follow. "Where are you taking me?" I ask as I follow him up the stairs.
"Just follow me. I need to show you something." He say and I sigh and follow him all the way upstairs and down a hallway. He then stops at a door and I look up at him with my brows raised confused.
"It's a door." I say and he puts his hand on the knob then turns to me.
"This is why I act shady all the time and always have to leave or get off calls with you." He says and I furrow my brows as he opens the door. As soon as I take in what's inside the room I gasp slightly.
