Demi's POV

It's been about a week and a half since Odell's surgery and it's been frustrating to say the least. He's refused my help in anything and I understand his point but he needs to understand mine. I'm just trying to help him out, but he doesn't get it. We've been at his house for a week now and I've been mostly taking care of Lani and him. He doesn't like it though and he swears he's okay on his own.

"Babe, I can help you shower after I give Lani a bath and put her to sleep, okay?" I say walking in the living room with Lani against my hip. He doesn't reply so I discreetly roll my eyes and walk upstairs and start her bath. I've gotten pretty good at these baby things lately so bath time is a piece of cake now compared to when I first had to do it. I've learned how to get her to sit still when I need her too and I've also learned how to do her hair thanks to Heather.

"Emi." Lani says as she plays with her toys in the water. Oh yeah, she learned my name also which is really cute. I secretly love it sometimes too because it sounds like mommy. I know I shouldn't be thinking that far ahead yet, but I am and even if it scares the shit out of me, I just decided to let things happen.

"Yes baby girl?" I ask as I rinse her hair out.

"Ducky!" She says showing me the duck excitedly and I chuckle.

"Yeah it is a ducky sweetie." I say and she giggles. I then finish up her bath and get her changed in her PJs. I then walk downstairs with her after I've combed through her hair so she can say goodnight to Odell. "Hey, I'm gonna put her to bed." I say and he nods as I lean down with her so he can kiss her goodnight.

"Night princess. I love you." He says and she giggles.

"Night dada." She says blowing him a kiss and I smile. I then walk back upstairs with her and I read her a book then sing her to sleep. Once I laid her down in her crib, I walk back downstairs to see Odell isn't anywhere in the living room so I walk to the guest bedroom down here that I had him move into since walking up and down the stairs is hard on him.

"Hey, let me help you." I say once I walk into the bathroom and see him struggling just to get undressed.

"I'm fine." He says shrugging me off.

"Babe, just let me help you." I say and he rolls his eyes.

"I said I'm fine!" He says shouting at me and I flinch slightly. He has not yelled at me once and it kind of scared me to be honest but it also pissed me off.

"You know what Odell, I'm just trying to help you! I get that this injury is hard on you but you can't take out your frustrations on the people who just want to be there for you!" I say shouting back and he rolls his eyes and pulls his shirt back on before limping around me. He has a brace on his leg so he's able to walk on his own for short periods of time.

"I didn't ask for your help Demi! I didn't ask you to stay here and help me shower. I didn't ask you to take over being a parent to my daughter! I didn't ask for any of this!" He says shouting back and I take a deep breath as tears fill my eyes.

"Fine. You don't want my help, then I'll just leave since you're clearly fine on your own." I say turning to the closet to pack all my stuff back up in the suitcase. "Let me know how it goes when you have to bathe your daughter or cook her food. Let me know how easy it is to wash yourself or simply change your clothes. Until then, I'll be in LA. I have work to get to anyways that I pushed back for you." I say walking back in the room when I finished packing my bag.

"I didn't ask you to push your work back." He says laying on the bed.

"No you didn't. But how many women would be willing to do that for you. How many people in general are willing to drop everything to make sure you and your daughter are okay?! I haven't seen anyone besides your mom over here so really think about it Odell! I'm just doing this because I care about you!" I say shouting in some places.
