Demi's POV

It's been a couple days since we left the hospital and I was so happy to be home. Everything has been nothing short of bliss even if Laia wakes up every other hour at night and Odell and I are barely getting sleep. My parents are still here and Heather comes by everyday also so we are getting a ton of help. Odell has been amazing also and wakes up with me every time even if he doesn't have to do anything. Even though I'm exhausted, I love being a mom. This morning, I woke up to Alaia crying so I sit up and lift her out of her bassinet.

"Good morning angel." I whisper. "Are you hungry?" I ask even if I know that's exactly why she's crying. I lift up my shirt and as soon as she latches on, Odell starts to move and I look over to see his eyes opening. "Morning." I say and he smiles and sit up more.

"Morning. She just wake up?" He asks and I nod as I rest my head against his shoulder.

"Yeah." I reply as I let out a yawn.

"I have to go to practice today." He says and I look up at him and I sigh.

"I thought you would be home longer." I say and he nods sadly.

"That's not really possible with football especially when I'm in season." He says and I sigh once again looking down at Laia.

"You have an away game this week. That means you're going to be gone for a day and a half." I mumble.

"You know I wish I could stay here baby." He says kissing my temple and I take a deep breath.

"Well there's nothing we can do about it. How long will you be gone today?" I ask.

"I have to leave at eight and I'll be back after lunch. Maybe around one or so." He says and I nod.

"Okay. Well you should probably get ready." I say pulling away from him.

"You okay?" He asks and I nod without looking up at him.

"I'm fine." I say mustering up a small smile as I look up at him and he nods. He then bends down and kisses Laia's head before getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom. Once she finishes eating, I lay her down and go to the bathroom myself so I can brush my teeth and wash my face while Odell gets dressed in the closet. I then hear Lani in her baby monitor so as I go to get her Odell walks out of the closet dressed for his practice.

"I'll get her. Go ahead and head downstairs and I'll make breakfast before I have to leave." He says and I nod and lift Laia in my arms before I walk downstairs with her. Odell soon follows with Lani and us three cuddle on the couch while Odell makes breakfast in the kitchen.

"Good morning sweetie." I hear my moms voice so I turn to see my parents walking in the living room and I smile.

"Morning. Odell is making breakfast, you guys want coffee?" I ask as I place Laia down in her rocker and I stand up.

"Sure, thank you." My mom says as they sit down and I nod and walk into the kitchen, but Lani was hot on my tail. She has been extremely attached to Odell and I lately, and I don't know if it's just a phase or because Laia is here now.

"You hungry babe?" He asks me as I start making the coffee.

"Not really." I mumble as I walk to the fridge and pour some milk into a sippy cup for Leilani.

"Are you sure you're okay with me leaving?" He asks as I hand her the milk and I look up at him.

"Even if I wasn't, you can't do anything about it." I answer shrugging and he sighs.

"I can stay home." He says and I sigh.

"No, you're going to have to pay a fine and be benched in your next game. Just go. I'll be fine." I tell him and he rolls his eyes. "What are you rolling your eyes for?" I ask kind of annoyed.
