Demi's POV

It's been a month since I blew up on my mom and Dallas and a month since I told them I was pregnant. I still haven't heard a single thing from them, but my dad and Maddie ended up finding out and they both came over to my house a few days later. They were surprised, but at the end they seemed to be excited which made me feel better. Odell and I then FaceTimed his family and told them. They were all excited and happy for us which made me forget about my issues with my mom and sister. Today is my sixteen week checkup and I have significantly popped. It's pretty difficult to cover my bump now especially since it's getting hot in LA. I know it won't be long until the rumors start that I'm pregnant and I honestly don't even want to deal with it, but I may not have a choice since my album and documentary is coming out soon which means a ton of travelling and promo.

"So, did you want to find out the gender today?" Odell asks as I sit on the bed in the doctors office and Lani sits in his lap.

"Yeah, if she can see then I would like to know. You?" I ask and he nods immediately.

"Yeah. I wanna know if I'm having another little girl or a little boy." He says and I smile.

"I really think it's a boy to be honest. I don't know why, I just think it is." I say and he smiles.

"I guess we will see." He says and I nod.

"I can't wait until they start kicking though. It's going to be so cool to feel the baby and everything." I say placing one hand on my stomach followed by Odell doing the same.

"I've never felt it before. With Lani, me and Lauren were broken up and I didn't even think she was actually mine and Lauren didn't want me going to any of the appointments or being involved at all. She was so sure that she wasn't mine either, but she was." Odell says and I give him a sympathetic smile.

"Well you get to experience it now. Were you there for her birth?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"I went to the hospital because a mutual friend said she was in labor, but she wouldn't let me in the room. Her boyfriend at the time was with her because they both thought that she was his. I waited in the lobby and when I heard she was born and it was a girl I was so happy. I had a feeling deep down that she was my daughter, but I didn't know for sure. That night, she went into the nursery and I looked at her through the window and I knew without a doubt she was mine. She looked just like me." He says smiling down at Lani as she plays with a toy.

"I'm sorry you didn't get to be there when she was born. This baby, you will be though." I say and he smiles up at me and nods.

"I'm not missing it for anything. I want to be here with you for everything." He says and I smile. The doctor then walks in and we talk for a few minutes before I lay back and lift my shirt up.

"There is your little baby." She says and I smile at the screen. "Moving a ton. I wouldn't be surprised if you feel movement soon." She says and I smile bigger. "Let's switch over to 4D real quick and you can actually see features." She then says and I nod. She presses a couple buttons and moves the doppler around my stomach to find a good angle.

"That's insane." Odell says and I nod agreeing with him. "Lani, look at your baby brother or sister." He then says catching Leilani's attention.

"Baby." She says pointing to my stomach and I nod.

"That's right sweetie." I say nodding as she smiles.

"Did you guys want me to look for the gender?" My doctor then asks and I nod up at her.

"Yeah, if you can find it we would like to know." I say and she nods.

"Of course. Does this little one know what's going on?" She asks nodding down to Lani.
