Demi's POV

Throughout that next month, I spent wrapping up my album and deciding on a release date. I decided to release it in May and then I will go on a tour later this year or beginning of next year. That is if COVID allows me too. I've been watching the news and they seem to almost have a vaccine ready and I really hope it comes out soon, because I miss performing and my fans. Today is Odell's last football game and since it is his last because they sadly didn't make the playoffs, I promised to go. I will be up in a viewing room with his mom, dad, and Lani. We will have to wear our masks and be screened, but I don't really mind as long as I finally get to see him play in person. I always watch his games on TV when I can, but sometimes I'm working and can't. Today though, he's playing a home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The teams are down on the field warming up and because of COVID, we can't go down there but I did send him a good luck text before he went out on the field.

"You excited to see him play in person?" Heather asks me sitting down next to me while Lani sits in her lap.

"Yeah. I watch his games on TV, but it will be fun to watch him like this. I've gotten better at understanding football also so it's even more enjoyable." I say and we both chuckle.

"It is fun when you actually know what's going on. I'm happy you wanted to learn also, his exes could careless." She says and I nod.

"I want to support him and to do that I need to know exactly how to support him. I don't want to god forbid cheer for the wrong team." I say with a small chuckle and she laughs out loud.

"You wouldn't be the first. Anyways, how have you been though? I haven't seen you since her party last month." She asks and I smile.

"I've been good. Busy but good." I say and she smiles.

"Yeah, Odell was telling me that you were finishing your album. How's that going?" She then asks as Lani reaches for me so I grab her from Heather and let her sit in my lap.

"It's going good! I'm pretty much done and it's coming out May 15th. My first single will be out in two weeks and then I'm going to be even more busy doing promo and stuff." I say and she smiles.

"That's great! I can't wait to hear it!" She says and I nod smiling.

"I'll let you have an early listen. Jazzy too since I know she's a fan." I say and she smiles big.

"Oh that's amazing! She will love that. I remember how obsessed she was with you when you were on Disney channel." She says and I chuckle.

"Aww that's so cute." I reply as Lani turns in my arms to face me and I smile down at her. "Hi sweetie. You gonna watch your daddy play?" I ask and she smiles and points down to the field.

"Dada play?" She asks and I nod with enthusiasm.

"Yeah!" I say tickling her stomach lightly as she giggles. She then lays her head on my chest and I smile and rub her back. Ever since last month at Lani's party, she became super close to me which I think is cute. It was honestly sad when I had to head back to LA after her birthday because she didn't want me to go, but when I flew back in a couple days ago she was so excited to see me which melted my heart. Heather and I continue talking up until the game starts and when it does, we both stand up and start cheering along with Odell's dad, Odell Sr. I held Lani in my arms the whole time as she clapped and cheered herself which Heather got a picture of. Odell's team got the ball first and the first play was a little rough and they didn't get much. The second snap though, which I know is what it's called cause Odell told me when he was teaching me, gave me some momentary hope. Odell ran down the field as the ball got thrown for him and for a minute, it looked like he was gonna catch it until his defender pushed him slightly and caught the ball instead resulting in a interception. We all sighed when he started running the other way, but it didn't take long for Odell to turn and chase after him. Right when he was about to tackle him, his teammate got in the way resulting in him jumping in an awkward position to try and avoid him. I immediately saw how hard Odell fell and he curled up in a ball grabbing his left leg instantly causing me and Heather to gasp.
