Demi's POV

The next morning I woke up to Odell kissing the back of my neck and I smile and turn in his arms as I squint my eyes open. I wrap my arms around his waist while he rubs my back up and down and I shiver since I'm cold.

"You cold?" He asks and I nod against him. I feel him kiss the top of my head before wrapping the blanket tighter around me and I smile against his chest. We lay there for about forty minutes before we both finally get up and do our morning routines. I decided to make breakfast for us this morning, since Odell wanted the French toast I had made him awhile ago. While I cooked, Odell sat at the island and called his mom so he could say good morning to Lani. I swear I will never get tired of hearing him interact with his daughter. It is honestly the cutest thing ever and I had a smile on my face the entire time I listened to Odell talk to his baby and she would babble back to him. By the time the food is done, he hung up his phone so I bring him a plate of food to where he is sitting and he smiles and kisses my cheek.

"Thank you baby." He says and I smile and nod before grabbing my own plate and sitting next to him. About halfway into eating, Odell lifted one of my legs up to drape over his as he rubs my thigh up and down.

"So I was thinking." He starts and I look over at him.

"What were you thinking?" I ask taking a sip of my coffee.

"Will you come to Lani's first birthday party?" He asks and I freeze as my eyes go wide.

"What?" I whisper.

"I want you to come to her birthday and meet her and meet my family. They all can't wait to meet you and I think her party will be a good time to do that. It will be super small at my house cause I'm still not allowed to have big gatherings. What do you think?" He asks. I'm thinking that it's way too soon. I'm not ready to meet your family and I'm more importantly not ready to meet your daughter. We were supposed to be taking things slow and now he all the sudden wants me to meet his family?

"I'm honored that you want me to meet them." I start after I have finally collected my thoughts.

"But?" He asks looking over at me and I sigh and stand up from my chair.

"But I think it's too soon. O, we've only been dating for two months and you want me to meet you daughter? Your family? Don't you think that's a little too soon?" I ask and he sighs.

"By the time you meet them we will have been dating for three months." He says shrugging and I shake my head and grab our empty plates so I can rinse them off. I also just need a distraction right now.

"That's still soon Odell. I don't think I'm ready for that." I finally answer as I turn to look at him and he looks down and nods.

"Alright. Think about it though." He finally says looking back up at me and I nod. I'll think about it, but I know for sure that's it's still too soon. We then go to the living room to watch TV and there was definitely tension between Odell and I and I hated that.

"Are you mad at me?" I finally ask as it's nearing two pm and we've barley talked.

"Nah." He simply answers as he scrolls through his phone and I roll my eyes.

"Clearly you are cause you won't even look at me." I say and he sighs and locks his phone before looking up at me.

"I'm not mad." He clarifies.

"Then what's wrong? Why won't you talk to me? Is this about me thinking it's too soon to meet your family?" I ask even if I know that's exactly why.

"I just want to be able to introduce you to the people I love and you don't seem like you'll ever be ready for that." He says and I discreetly roll my eyes.
