Today's hazing session was once again interrupted by Kongpob (0062). His hero complex kicked in and he had the audacity to request that we stop punishing the juniors. Why does he care. Shouldn't he be glad that they were not required to sing the engineering chant.
Ai'Arthit looks very tired of Kongpob's antics, so when he told him to leave the cheer hall. I wasn't all that surprised, however what surprised me more was the friend.
The one who forgot his ID stood up and requested we stop hazing the juniors plus allow his friend to stay. Ai'Arthit of course shut him down and shouted at Kongpob to leave the hall. Students throughout the freshman group began requesting to speak. Ai'Arthit finally heard enough,
"I will allow you to cheer instead of the second year, but your friend isn't allowed to stay"
I watched Kongpob leave the cheer hall, and I could tell his demeanour had changed. After he left the freshman began cheering better than they had before. Not long after the meeting was called to an end.
I walked over Ai'Arthit asking him if he was really not allowing Kongpob back to the hazing activities. He just looked at me. I could tell he was stressing about it, but I didn't want to press it further.
On our way out of the hall we noticed Kongpob standing near the exit doors. Ai'Arthit went straight for him asking why he was there. Kongpob replied honestly that he was waiting for his friends. I knew in that moment Ai'Arthit would allow him back into the hazing activities because Ai'Arthit was the same. Friends are important as they are like family.
Ai'Arthit began talking to Kongpob about why he should not always get involved in his friends battles as they need to learn to look after themselves otherwise they do not have enough spirt to do so.
I followed the facial expressions of this Nong as he was processing the information. I could tell this time the message was getting through without any arguments."Today because you did it and then your friend helped you. I will allow you to attend the meetings again, but this is the last warning... don't let me see you as a hero again! Understand!!"
"Khrap"
Kongpob even nodded to the message. I was so pleased in this moment. We are finally getting somewhere with this kid. As we started stepping away I noticed Ai'Arthit staying behind. I could see Kongpob was smiling very devilishly and Ai'Arthit yelling back at him, so loud I could hear it plainly.
"It's not!"
The freshman's friends slowly approached Kongpob and Ai'Arthit.
"What the fuck are you looking at? Who ordered you to look!"
Kongpob was definitely smiling even more I could see the fine lines near his eyes as I approached them. Ai'Arthit was still threatening Kongpobs friends when suddenly he turned around and walked right passed me. Even with the speed that Ai'Arthit was going I could see a faint hue of pink forming on his grumpy expression. What the hell did this freshman say?
