It's been a week since the wedding and we are working on our final project. Everybody is stressed out, but there is one person who seems to still have some pep in his walk. I am talking about Arthit. This bastard seems to be like a energizer bunny. I am completely shocked at his change of behaviour. It felt like we were shooting a film about war for a month... it just doesn't make sense unless, he accepted the feelings of the freshman he was mulling over. If that is true than he is enjoying his puppy love. I'm starting to think this might be worse...

"Ai'Bright, can you please quiet down there? I am trying to work here." Brights face expressed everything, his eyes widened and his mouth dropped. "Ai'Arthit... since when do you use the word, 'Please'?" "What are you talking about! I have manners you know!" His face is showing signs of nervousness, "ya to professors not to me! You always chew me out!" Arthit just shakes his head, "do you want me to chew you out then? I was trying a different approach.." "well, don't do it again... you're scaring me!" "BRIGHT, WILL YOU FUCKING STOP TALKING. I'M TRYING TO WORK!" Everyone in the group laughed like a good belly laugh even Arthit.

We were doing our project in the cafeteria because Bright hates the library, so when we laughed everyone here turned and looked at us. Which just made us laugh louder. What interrupted us was a freshman. "Swadee, Phi's!" "Oh Nong Kongpob, how is your classes going?" "That is why I came here there is one part I am having problem with... I was wondering if any of you could help me?" He was looking at all of us, but his body was clearly directed at Arthit. "I can't help you, Nong! You will surely fail!" Bright smiles and shrugs as he states the obvious. "Nong, I don't mind helping you! Do you have your books with you?" I had asked him politely.

My real goal was to make Arthit make a move. He's currently not looking at the Nong directly and has this forced deadpan expression. This is too much fun. "Yes, I do P'Knott. Let me just open my bag and grab the text. His expression changed he wasn't as upbeat. Just before the books hit the table. I see Arthit get up from the table and say, "Nong, why don't we go somewhere else! I can help you!" The freshman's face matched my own. Pure shock... I knew this would cause a scene, but this is just comedy gold. "Ahh, okay... P'Arthit... where do you suggest?" "Let's head to the the library.. come on don't just stand there!" We all watched as our junior quickly puts his books back in his bag and chased after Arthit.

"What the hell was that!" Bright shouts out, "I have no idea, Ai'Bright. I think something stinks..." Toota glanced at me and I immediately shrug my shoulders. The others are continuing their discussion. When Toota picks up his phone and my phone buzzes. I grab my phone and checked the message.

I shook my head which resulted in a manic laugh being heard... Toota. I give him a stern look, and he raises his hands over his head. "Am I police officer, Ai'Toota!" "Yes, Sir... you are going to silence my voice!" "Ai'Bright, help... the scary man over there is threatening me!" "If he wants you... let him! He is good man!" He winks at me "Noooooooo, I don't do friends!" He pretends to faint. Prem chimed in, "I'm pretty sure you would if we gave you a chance"... Toota scoffed, "I have standards..." "I feel pretty rejected at the moment, so I am going to go for a walk. Catch you guys in our next class" I retorted.

I make my way to the library because my curiosity is at high altitudes. On my way I find them outside at a Picnic bench. They are casually chatting. To someone who does know Arthit they would be thinking this is very normal behaviour, but to me I see his expressions and his mannerisms. They are all screaming out my full attention is directed at you. I have never seen such tenderness in his face before. I decided that they could notice me, so I take another route to the library. I still had enough time to grab a few more books for our project.

***

The project is near complete, so we are held up in Arthit's room to complete it. We are all sick of reading about the same subject, and we have started to dream about it. I look around the room, Bright had started to snore loudly with his head leaning against Toota. It seems Toota is entertaining himself with his phone. Prem has just left to pick up everyone some food. It just left Arthit and myself. We are sitting comfortably on his bed. We are reviewing the notes again.

We were interrupted when his phone begins to ring. The thing that I noticed right away was the ringtone was different to his regular one. I raised my eyebrow when I look at him. He shrugs as he picks up and runs to his balcony. New ringtone.. answering the call outside, Nomyen delivery. Does he really think they are that discreet? To Bright and Prem maybe....Toota has already clued in.

"Ai'Knott" "hmm" "did Ai'Arthit go out to speak to his faen?"  I look at him, but my expression does nothing as he is still looking at his phone. "I knew, you would do that! Bright... is really sleeping, so you have nothing to be worried about. Has he told you yet? He always tells you everything first." I let out a sigh, "No. he has clammed up... but it's fairly obvious."  "You don't say, hmm, let's thinks..... 1. He never wakes up early, but he always has Nomyen and Breakfast every morning. 2. He sneaks off lately during lunch 3. I once heard him on the phone... he blushes as he remembered the memory, he said Kong....not his full name over the phone" Toota squealed a little.

I shake my head as Arthit entered the room. He is clearly smiling and hue of pink on his cheeks. It's definitely not cold enough for this amount of blood flowing to his face. "What the hell are you staring at?"  He complained. "Just your face... where you talking to your Mae? Or faen?" I almost gave myself whiplash for how fast I looked at Toota. His face is not showing any remorse, however the person who's being questioned is beat red. Atta boy... try convincing us now.

"No way! You know I am forever alone. Still waiting for Jay and Namtan to break up." In the most sassy way, "Sure honey, we will go with that! Just know there is no secrets between friends." He ends it with a wink. Prem walks in on Arthit still standing with a bright red face, sleeping Bright, my flabbergasted face, and Toota proudly smiling.

"Don't know what just happened, but food is here. You better pay me back! It's cost too many baht." "Ai'Prem, you still owed me for all the food you ate at my house during Midterms!" I call out. "I thought you forgot... forget it... everyone, but Knott! Pay up!" I chuckled as Prem whacks Bright's head and his eyes slammed open. "What was that for?" "Food, you dog!" "Oh, I like food!" "Pay up first!" "Awe... I promise I'll pay you... I have no money on me right now!" "Don't play with me... I saw your wallet this afternoon!" His smile on his face disappeared as he grabs his wallet out of his back pocket.

Soon this will be over... we have a year and half left, then we are off to the adult world. We have internship next semester, so that will be an interesting experience. Let's just hope we make these days count.
