Broken Promises (F.W x reader)

Y/n pov:
I woke up early naturally today. I sat up in bed and took a few seconds to just think about everything. I was still getting used to living with the Wolfhards. Even though the bedroom had all my belongings in it, it didn't feel like my room.

I got out of bed and decided to open the blinds. Today was cloudy like everyday. I noticed the leaves were starting to fall off the trees and were turning brown and orange. I loved fall because it always meant the holidays were near, but this year I wasn't in the mood for holidays. I missed my parents and I felt lonely. Eric and Marry were very kind to me but they weren't my parents, so I felt like I had a hole. Like a piece of me was missing.

I got dressed and made my bed. I didn't feel like going to school. I hadn't told anyone what happened to my parents because I didn't want the attention, so I basically lied to my friends about what I've been up to after school. I forced myself to get ready for school because I didn't want to ruin my perfect attendance.

After getting all ready I walked down stairs and saw Eric and Marry drinking coffee. They both greeted me with a smile and I smiled back.

"Good morning dear!" Marry said in a joyful tone.

"Morning!" I replied with a fake smile.

"You ready for school?" Eric asked me.

"Yes. I was about to start walking." I answered.

"Without breakfast?" Marry questioned with a concerted face.

"I-I'm not hungry." I lied. I actually was hungry but lately I can't keep food down since the loss of my parents.

"Oh ok. Well when you get home I'm making my homemade Mac and cheese for dinner!" She said with a big smile.

"Ok." I replied.

"Ok well don't let me cause you to be late! Have a great day." Marry said with a light chuckle.

"Bye." I said as I left the house. I took a deep breath before walking to school. The walk wasn't too bad. It was about a ten minute walk to school. I didn't really want to talk to my friends today but I knew they would suspect something is up if I ignored them.

Once I arrived to school I walked over to my locker and started to put away my back pack and grab out the binder I needed for my first period.

"Hey! Are you ready to walk to first period?" I heared a voice ask me. I turned around to see Millie Bobby Brown smiling at me.

"Yes I am." I said forcing myself to fake a smile.

"Ok." She said as we started walking to our first period.

*Time Jump*

At lunch Noah was very talkative so it made it easier for me to zone out. I would randomly nod and smile to make it seam like I was paying attention to what he was saying. I couldn't help but think about my parents. I missed them. I decided that I was gonna visit their graves after school before heading to the Wolfhards house.

"Y/n! Are you even listening?" Noah snapped at me. I looked up at him and causing me to escape my thoughts.

"Oh sorry I was thinking about tommorow test." I lied.

"Oh...it's fine. Well are you coming today after school?" Noah asked.

"Where?" I asked.

"To Noah's house for the sleepover." Millie said with a giggled.

"Oh. I don't know I'll have to ask." I told them.

"Oh ok....oh by the way I stopped by your house yesterday and no one was home. Your house looked empty, is everything ok?" Noah asked me.

"I'm fine. We just had to move recently." I told them. I hated lieing to them but I didn't want to tell everyone I was living with the famous Finn wolfhard, who hated me.

"Oh. Well do you like the new house? When can we see it?" Millie asked with excitement. I relized this wasn't a good stable lie.

"Oh it's ok and i don't know my parents are busy and stuff and don't want people coming over." I lied.

"Oh." Millie said with the excitement dissapering.

*time jump*

I arrived at the Wolfhards house and it was kind of noisy which was unusual. I walked inside and took off my shoes placing them on the shoe rack. Then I walked to the living room and saw Netflix was on. I was a little confused cause I thought Eric and Marry were both at work.

I thought that maybe Eric left the to on by accident so I turned it off and went upstairs and walked through the hallway that my bedroom was in. I noticed the room across from mine had a light on.

"Hello?" I said allowed. I felt dumb since I didn't get a response. I decided to push open the door more and I looked inside. No one was in there. What was going on? This was kind of weird! I turned around and walked to my bedroom door and opened it.

I threw my bag on the floor then walked over to my desk. I plugged in my computer. Then I turned around to face my bed and I screamed!

"Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed in fear and shock! Someone was sitting on my bed starting at me! 

"Why are you in the guest bedroom?" A familiar voice asked me. He had a stubborn and angry tone.

"I-I....I'm staying here for awhile." I replied.

"Why? Do my parents know?" He asked. His long black curly s fit around his face nicely and his cheekbones were amazing. He was pale and super skinny.

"Yes. Finn, they are letting me stay here for awhile." I told him. He gave me a snarky look and eyes my up and down.

"Why?" He asked me rudely.

"Because my parents are away on a business trip." I lied I didn't want him to know that I had no parents.

"Oh...well let's hope they get back soon." He sounded annoyed. Then he walked out of my room. I looked around my room to make sure he didn't touch anything. Then I picked up my favorite book and began reading.

After about two hours of reading I relized Eric and Marry were gonna be home in an hour so I decided to freshen up for dinner. I had only loved here for a few days now, so I still felt uncomfy showering and getting dressed in their bathroom. Especially now since me and Finn had to share.

I walked into the bathroom and locked the door. I turned on the water and allowed it to heat up. I then undressed and got in. The steamy water felt amazing on my bare skin. I felt relaxed and at ease.
