Y/n POV:

We were still walking into the unknown. I kept thinking about the kiss me and Finn had shared. I wondered if he liked it. Was I as good of a kisser as Sadie was? We hadnt talk since I promised him I'd stop cutting. He seamed deep into his thoughts as well. I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking.

"They couldn't of gotten far!" A voice called out. I snapped out of my thoughts and so did Finn. We both began looking around frantically. Where did that voice come from I thought.

"Fi-" I began but Finn put his soft, pale, large hand over my mouth. I ameidatly shut up and noticed Finn looking around quickly.

"Maybe they went over here." Another voice said form the west. The voices were taking in a regular volume, but we could hear them clearly. I began to panic at the thought that the people were close.

"What do you think the boss will do when she finds them?" Another voice asked.

"I don't know....but it will be bad." The second voice said as the leaves crunched. They were getting closer and closer to us. Then at that moment, Finn grabbed my hand tightly and began running into the east.

We ran to the sound of the leaves crunching and twigs snapping under our boots. We ran until Finn stopped. I had no clue how long we ran for but I was dropping sweat. Finns hair was all over the place and I put my hand near his face and tucked his hair behind his ears. He smiled at me then put his left hand on my right cheek. He rubbed my cheek for a moment then kissed my forehead.

"Finn, what are we gonna do?" I asked Finn in a scared tone. We were in the woods and who knows if we were even in the same town that we lived in. Finn shook his head.

"I don't know, but I-" He stopped for a moment and stared at a tree. He then walked closer to the medium sized tree that had leaves all around it on the ground. "I know this tree." Finn said as he put his hand on it and looked around wood part.

"What?" I asked. I was so confused. Was this tree edible. Maybe he meant he knew the type of tree. He didn't respond and instead traced him finger over the trees bark. I walked closer to Finn to get a better look at the tree.

I noticed that there was the letters E+M on the tree. I wondered what that meant for a moment.

"My parents they would camp here when I was younger. This is where my dad proposed to my mom years ago. After she said yes they carved their initials into the tree." Finn said smileing.

"Wait! You know this area?" I asked Finn with a smile.

"Yes! I already said me and my family camp here on their anniversary every year. One day I plan on carving mine and my wife's initials under theirs." Finn was smiling as he looked at the tree. I found it cute that he wanted to carve his initial into a tree with his future wife.

"Finn. Do you know how to leave this place?" I asked him snapping out of my thoughts.

"Oh. Yes sorry!" He said turning red. He then grabbed my hand tightly and we began to speed walk into the direction of south.
