Helloooo! It's update time again! I hope you enjoy this part : ) Comment your thoughts throughout!
I smile at Annie as we make our way down the hall, Marcus right next to her. A guy shoves her into a locker and I pause, glancing at the guy. "Leave her alone."
He pauses, glancing at his friends, and walks towards us. "No."
I turn to Marcus and he turns towards Annie, making sure she's okay.
"Why not?"
He smirks. "I don't appreciate her hanging with you and Marcus."
"Why is it your problem?"
"Because Jack and his friends are getting in trouble because of you. And friends support friends."
I laugh. "So Jack put you up to this?"
His friends sneer at Annie. "If you want to be left alone, stay away from them. We're not the only ones unhappy."
They turn and walk way as I turn to Annie. "You okay?"
She nods, glancing back towards the guys. Marcus smiles at me, attempting to mask his worry. "I can't believe Jack is going after her too."
I nod. "This won't be good for anyone. We can barely help ourselves not get hurt..."
He forces a smile. "And we are definitely failing at that."
Annie turns to us. "I'll be okay."
"You should leave us alone. It's better for you that way."
Marcus nods. "I would hate it if you get hurt because of us."
She shakes her head as we turn towards our lockers for our lunches. "Like he said, friends support friends. And if I stop, which I won't, then they win."
Marcus smiles. "We tried."
I open my locker, grabbing my lunch. "That's all we can do."
Annie smiles, shutting her locker, her lunch in hand. "Exactly."
Marcus smiles as I shut mine, coming face to face with Alex. "There you are."
Marcus sighs as Annie glares at him. "You were looking for Lyla, why?"
He smirks as Jack and Toby come from the stream of kids heading into the lunchroom. "We wanted to talk."
Marcus shakes his head. "Well we don't."
He starts to turn away as Toby steps in front of him to block his path. "It's not optional."
Annie glances at me and I move towards her. "Fine. What do you want?"
Jack smiles. "I would like you and your boyfriend, to pick up on our message."
Marcus flushes. "She's not my girlfriend."
Jack laughs. "Pathetic."
I glare at him as Annie rolls her eyes him as she turns to Jack. "And what is the message?"
He smiles. "To not say a word at the trial."
I laugh. "No can do. Sorry."
He laughs, shoving me into the locker. I glare at him and Marcus glances at Annie. "Go to our spot." She glares at him and he sighs. "This isn't your fight."
"Fine." She slips away just as I turn back towards Jack who's still pinning me to the locker.
I smile at him. "I'd appreciate it if you'd get your hands off of me."
He shakes his head just as Marcus glances towards our bodyguards on the other side of him. They come over and Jack laughs. "Can't even fight your own fights."
He lets me go and walks away with Alex and Toby.
Marcus smiles at me as the bodyguards meetmy eyes. "You okay?"
I nod and he smiles. "This is the third fight since we've been hired."
Marcus sighs. Since they got assigned to us, fresh out of training and young enough to fit in with high schoolers, we have had to call them over more than I thought we would. It's disappointing but at least no bruises...
I glance at Marcus and he smiles. "Let's go eat."
Our bodyguard's nod and we start to walk towards where Annie is.Annie smiles as we head towards our lockers once again, this time to go home. "We going to Marcus' to study?"
Marcus grins. "Yes. More idiot time."
I laugh. "I'm down."
He smiles and we head towards the hall towards our lockers, my stomach dropping as I freeze and stare at the crowd surrounding our lockers.
Annie pushes through the crowd, sighing. "What's the show now?"
The kids part the way for her and I pause, staring.
Jack and his friends stand around our lockers, Sharpies in hand as they write on our lockers. Marcus stiffens besides me just as the principal walks over.
"I heard there was some como-" She pauses, her eyes taking in the scene in front of her.
Jack and his friends turn around, grinning. "Hello."
She points to Jack and his friends. "You in my office now." She glances at the crowd. "Everyone else go home."
The crowd scatters and I sigh, glancing at Marcus. "Ready?"
He nods as Annie stares at the words on all three of our lockers.
Get out of here
You're not wanted
You better stay quiet
Annie glances at hers and I sigh.
Traitor
You asked for this
Hope you're happy
There's no going back.....
She smiles. "Let's go already."
I nod and quickly get my thing and Marcus smiles. "Idiot time is on the horizon!"
I laugh and he smiles. "Front or back?"
I smile. I can always count on him to cheer me up... "Front. That way I can annoy you."
He laughs and we proceed to walk out the door.
Annie sighs. "Imagine not being idiots."
I bite back a grin. "You can't."
She glares at me as Marcus laughs, giving me a high five. "You never cease to impress me."
"Likewise."
Annie sighs. "You two are mean."
Marcus grins. "Now you know how I feel."
She shrugs. "I'm not stopping then."
He pauses."That's normally not how it goes."I laugh. "Normal is no fun."
Annie nods. "That's true."
"I know it is. That's why I said it."
Marcus sighs. "I give up."
Annie laughs. "Mission accomplished."
He glances between us and cracks a smile. "I don't know how I managed without you two to annoy me."
"You didn't." Annie nods and he smiles.
"That's fair. I always felt like I was missing something..."
I wrap my arm around his shoulder. "We made your life better."
He laughs. "You really did."
Annie pauses as we hop into his car. "What did Jack mean by pathetic when you said you aren't dating?"
Marcus pauses. "He's shipped us since the day we met...."And? What did we think and what will happen next? Comment and vote if you enjoyed!
