I've decided to drop the update count down to two a week for this book. That way, more suspense. 😏 Now enjoy the last update for the week! As always comment and vote if you enjoyed it : )

Annie grins as she collects all the cash she won from Marcus and I. I sigh as she slips the cash into her wallet. "You could have told us you were extremely good from the beginning."

She shakes her head. "You two wouldn't  have agreed to put money down."

Marcus nods as he stands up, holding his sixth empty fry tray in his hand. "I could have used that money to buy more fries."

Annie laughs as she stands up next to me. "Do you only think about food?"

He pauses as I bend down to grab our bowling shoes. "Yes and how to annoy you two."

I shake my head as I bite back a smile. "You two can mess around some more while I go return our shoes. Then we should probably head back home."

    Annie sighs. "Fine."

I quickly return the shoes and head back to my friends. Marcus smiles as I approach and I grin, turning to Annie as we head towards the door. "How was first period?"

She shrugs. "Boring without you two."

Marcus laughs. "So you do care, not just using us for our money."

Annie smirks. "I never said that."

I laugh. "This is why we're friends."

Marcus grins. "I heard about a party as I was walking down the halls today."

"I'm not going to a party for a while."

Marcus nods as Annie turns to us while she holds up the door. "Who needs their parties?." She rests her arms on our shoulders. "We have this gang of clowns."

I slip out from under her arm. "I prefer comedian to clown."

    Marcus laughs. "In you're dreams."

Annie shakes her head. "Why don't we all hang out tonight?"

Marcus smiles. "More time with you?"

I nod as we get into the car. "You're favorite thing, I know."

    Annie grins. "Exactly."

    "Why not my place?"

Marcus meets my gaze. "You sure?"

"Yea. We have game night today."

Annie bites her lip. "You sure? That sounds like a family only thing..."

Marcus nods as he starts the car on the way back. "Just text her and ask just to sure."

I sigh, pulling my phone out. "Fine."

Annie smiles. "I've always wanted to do a game night."

    "Your family doesn't?"

She shakes her head. "We were more a you all do your own thing kind of family."

I smile. "Oh. Well, now you can."

Marcus nods. "We'll cream you so be on your game."

She glances at me, confusion flickering across his face. "His family has game nights and I've been over a couple of times. They're amazing."

Marcus laughs. "I don't know how Saia is better than me...she's only eleven."

Annie smirks. "I see where all the smart genes went in the family."
