A loud growl comes from next to me, and I glance at Marcus struggling not to laugh. "You want some food?"
He laughs. "That would probably be a good idea. Unless you want to hear that again..."
I bite back a smile. "Food it is."
We head towards the stairs and Marcus glances at me. "You think there is any food left?"
I smile. "Of course there is. The host only bought about a hundred pizzas."
He laughs. "Their parents must love us."
"Of course. We are amazing."
He grins as we approach the top of the staircase. "I smell pizza."
I grin. "I told you."
He smiles and grabs two pieces, offering one up to me. I take it and we sit down at the counter.
Marcus turns to me. "I'm glad you came. I would have been alone."
I blush, biting into my pizza to buy myself some time. "I doubt you would have been alone. You have plenty of people to talk to."
He takes a bite of his pizza. "That may be true but they aren't as interesting as you."
"Thanks. I'm glad you came too."
Marcus glanced at me. "You better text me after tonight."
I nod. "I will."
He hands me another piece, grinning. "What is your favorite kind of pizza?"
I smile. "Pepperoni. No doubt."
He nods. "So you like spicy stuff?"
"Yup. How about you?"
"I can't agree with that. Spicy stuff is not fun."
I gasp. "Its the most fun, what are you talking about?"
He laughs. "Maybe I'll try it."
"There is no maybe."
He smiles, handing me a pepperoni piece and we eat in silence.

I glance at Marcus as I finish my third piece of pizza. "Ready to head down?"
He nods and I stand up. "What chaos do you think they got up to?"
He shrugs. "I can't even imagine."
I laugh. "Not sure if I want to, not gonna lie."
He nods. "For real."

Right as we start to to head towards the stairs to go back down , Jack comes up the stairs. "There you two are. You've been spending a lot of time together..."
Marcus shrugs. "Lyla's nice."
I smile."So are you."
Jack glances between us. "I see what's going here..."
Marcus glances at me and I shrug.
Our glance doesn't get past Jack and he laughs. "I ship it."
We both turn red and he laughs. "Just saying."
"Imagine not shipping strangers."
He laughs. "I can't."
Marcus glares at him and Jack smiles. "Let's head back."
I nod and we head down the stairs to the basement.
Jack smiles as we come down, glancing at our friends.
Alex smile. "You found them just in time. Seven minutes of heaven is starting soon."
