I sigh, turning back to him.
He smiles. "What can I do?"
"Head to our lockers and get your stuff. I'm going to find some paper towels to put on your nose."
He nods and I run into the bathroom, grabbing some towels.

Not long after, we're heading out the door with our bags on my shoulders, keys in hand.
I glance at Marcus as I unload the bags into his car. "Where to?"
He pauses. "Well we do have therapy after school...do you think she would move the appointment up?"
I glance at my watch. "We did only have two periods left..why don't I call her and ask?"
He nods. "I'll call our moms."
I pull out my phone and dial our therapist.
"Hello? Lyla?"
"Yes, this is me.."
"You're supposed to be in school."
"Well something happened.."
She sighs. "How bad?"
"Can we come in? Unless you have an opening right now?"
"No, I'm open."
"Okay, we'll head over."
"See you soon."
Marcus comes over, glancing at his phone.
"We're all clear."
I nod. "They really worried?"
"Just the normal amount. More pissed."
"I can't blame them."
He sighs. "So we all clear with her?"
"Yup."
He opens his car door. "Let's get this over with."

I glance at Marcus as we stop the car outside the office.
"You ready?"
"How could I be?"
"Fair."
I open the door. "Prepare to die."
He smiles. "Always fun."
"I know right."
The therapist comes to the door to let us in just as our bodyguards step out of their cars behind us.
Her eyes widen and she gasps.
I grab the door and step in, holding the door open for Marcus.
Once we're in, she turns to us. "What happened?"
I sigh. "Take a guess. What do you think?"
She sighs. "Jack again?"
I nod as Marcus laughs. "You should see the other guy."
I roll my eyes. "You didn't do anything to stop them. The other guy is fine."
She sighs just as the bodyguards open the door and follow us in.
We head to the office and she quickly shuts the door.
"First, let's clean your face up again."
Marcus laughs. "I like the look."
I glare at him. "Not funny."
I follow her to the bathroom and grab more paper towels, wiping the blood that accumulated on his face over the drive.
He sighs. "Is it broken?"
"Your nose or you ego?"
He cracks a smile. "A little of both."
"Well yes."
"That's reassuring."
The therapist comes over. " I would like you to go to the doctor's to make sure your nose isn't broken. Or anything else for that matter."
"I'll make sure he gets there."
Marcus fishes his wallet from his pocket and opens it. "I have my insurance card so we can go directly after."
"Perfect. So how did this happen?"
I bite my lip. "I was talking with an old friend and they waited for us..."
"Saige?" I nod. "How many is they?"
I glance at Marcus and he sighs. "About five of the usual boys and they cornered us and..."He gestures at his face. "Then we had this."
She sighs. "I'm sorry. How are you untouched Lyla?"
"One of the guys held me back so I couldn't interrupt them."
"He made you watch?"
"Yup."
"I'm sorry."
Marcus meets my eyes. "I'm so tired of this."
She meets our eyes as we sit down. "This?"
Marcus sighs. "This as like the bullying, the threats, getting glares, every time we get cornered..."
I nod. "And then how the administration does just about nothing. They are supposed to protect us, not make everything worse by letting them get away with it."
He nods. "Exactly! It's not that hard to do your job."
She nods. "Do you think if you had me go to them they might do something?"
I gland at Marcus who shrugs. "I don't know. Most of the kids' parents pay for stuff around the school so if they do, they might lose funding."
She pauses. "Oh."
Marcus nods. "You can try I guess."
I slip my hand into his. "I just want this all to be over. If we go to the trial, they can be legally ordered away from us."
She meets my eyes. "What's to say anyone else won't bother you?"
Marcus sighs. "I mean our school is stupid but not that stupid. I think they will get the message. And we would only have three months after the trial till graduation. "
"You're leaving town for college?"
I nod. "We're not staying here."
"I get that. I wouldn't either." Marcus smiles as she pauses. "The trial is when?"
He glances at me. "In about two days, on Sunday."
"How do you think it will go?"
I shrug. "I hope it goes for us but they will have some of the best lawyers in the area against us."
Marcus squeezes my hand. "I just hope it works out."
The therapist nods. "I'm proud of you two. You're stronger than I would be after going through this."
Marcus meets my eyes. "It's only because I have such supportive friends and Lyla."
I grin. "I'm pretty great to be around..."
He laughs. "That is very true."
She laughs. "You do have your friend, Annie and your families, right?"
"Yup. Annie's amazing."
Marcus smiles. "And like Lyla, loves teasing me."
"If you don't like it, don't make it so easy."
He glares. "You're so mean."
"And your an idiot."

"Have you two tried normal couple activities?"
I blush. "We've watched movies at each other's houses."
She smiles. "Why not try something out of the house?"
Marcus smiles. "That does sound nice.."
I glance at him. "A movie?"
He grins. "Sure. And we can invite out a favorite third wheel."
The therapist laughs. "That works."
She checks her watch. "My next patient is coming soon, sorry to cut this short."
"It's fine."
She smiles. "Try to go out before we see each other next."
"Okay."
We stand up and go towards the door. I glance at Marcus. "Doctor's then we can go to the movies right after?"
He smiles. "Yes."
I slip into the driver's seat. "Let's go."
