It's trial time😬😬 What will the verdict be?

Marcus and I walk into the courtroom, our lawyer behind us with our parents.

Tension ripples through me as I bite my lip. Everything's lead up to this...

I look through the benches, familiar faces all around us. I freeze as I scan the room. Saige and all the girls are seated across the room, along with some of the guys. They meet my eyes, digsust overtaking their faces.

Well, all but one. Saige smiles at me, genuine regret flashing across her face. As much as I appreciate it, it's too late for that now. I loved what we had in the past, but that's all it is now. The past, a specific chapter I'll never forget.

I move on, just as Marcus tenses. I follow his gaze to see our absolute favorite person, Jack standing next to his lawyer.

I bite my lip as I glance at him, looking as smug as ever. I haven't seen him since that day at The theater...and looking at him now, boy am I glad. Hatred for Marcus and I overtake his eyes, hiding all parts from the times when we could have been friends.

Marcus sighs. "I haven't missed him at all."

"Who would after what he's done?"

"True..." I study him again as he flashes a grin at me. "getting suspended didn't change him one bit."

Marcus sighs as we move one, making our way to our seat. "Did you expect it to?"

"No, but it would have been nice."

"Fair." He pauses, "after  graduation, we won't have to see him again."

I sigh. "But graduation is three months away."

Marcus laughs. "Impatient much?" I glare and he smiles. "Time will fly from now till May."

"I hope so. I need to leave here..."

He meets my eyes. "I know you do. We all do. The memories of what we used to have with just about everyone here combined with how they are towards us, it's....it's just too much."

I nod. "It's a shame...one event changed our whole future."

He meets my eyes. "Do you think we would have met otherwise?"

I pause. "Honestly, I don't know. Us meeting is one good thing that came out of this I guess."

He laughs. "You guess? You really know how to injure my ego."

"That ego does needs some deflating, it's getting too big to handle."

"I'm not that bad..."

I turn to him, raising my eyebrow. "Not that bad?"

He sighs. "I see how it is."

I force a smile. "I'm just messing with you."

"We really need to stop making jokes to cope..."

"True. Will we though?"

He shakes his head. "That would be boring."

"It's never boring when you're around."

He smiles. "Thanks bae."

"Because I have someone to tease twenty-four seven."

"Really?"

I smirk. "You have to admit that was a good one..."

"It was but that's beside the point..."

I glance at him innocently. "What's the point?"
