my thoughts on jack frost

Dreamwork is a company i really like especially for their animated movies like kung fu panda how to train your dragon the old classics like shrek and so on and so on

My favorite dreamworks franchise is without a doubt how to train your dragon but who is my favorite dreamworks character?

Dreamworks has an amazing array of different characters and personalities there is shrek

There is hiccup from how to train your dragon

And then there's po from kung fu panda

But if i had to pick a favorite among all dreamworks characters it would have to be jack frost from rise of the guardians

The movie is quite underrated but i really like it and not just because its a movie i watched as a kid but it just has a good message and even now it still makes me feel like a kid thats whats nice about it even if you are older you can still feel like a kid watching the movie because of the familiar faces in it like the easter bunny the tooth fairy the sandman santa claus and of course jack frost

Now if you didn't know who jack frost let me show you who he is

Before he became jack frost he was known as jackson overland frost and he had a mother and a sister

Jackson was very jokey he liked playing tricks on his friends but one day he couldn't just play tricks anymore

One day while jackson and his sister were skating they noticed they were skating on thin ice and jackson's sister was very scared of the fact she might just fall into the cold water down below

Jackson said its okay and they should have a little fun instead and his sister thought he was tricking her but jackson assured him it wasn't a trick

Jackson said that they should play hopscotch and his sister agreed and while jackson was trying to get closer to his sister he grabbed a stick nearby and he used it to pull his sister away but what jackson didn't notice was the ice beneath him was cracking and then he fell into the icy lake bellow where he died

But then he was chosen by the man in the moon to be a guardian and then jackson rose from the frozen lake alive

His hair was no longer dark brown it turned white and his brown eyes turned blue and he was flying and he had pale skin

Jackson then grabbed the stick he used earlier to save his sister and then ice shot out of it

Later on jackson flew to a nearby village and he tried asking for directions but for some reason everybody ignored him and they just passed right through him

That was the day jackson overland frost died and jack frost was born

Now jack wears a dark blue hoodie with snow covering a bit of it and he also wore brown jeans and the stick he used to save his sister turned into his staff he nicknamed it "twinetender" or "twiner" for short

As a spirit of winter jack does posses powers one of which is flying he uses the wind to fly and his staff can shoot out thunder like ice and he can also create snowballs that can change the emotions of people to make them feel happy

Another thing to note about jack is his age

Biologically jack is 19 years old but because he was chosen to be a guardian he cant age anymore so he will forever stay 19 even though its been 300 years since he first became jack frost

Jack is often mischievous and he likes having fun cause he's young and one of his titles is he is the guardian of youth so it makes sense

Sometimes jack has tried to make people believe in him but his attempts failed for a long time

When he was brought to the north pole to be a guardian he didn't take it too well cause he wanted to be alone and he didn't want any responsibilities

Jack also has a rivalry with the easter bunny otherwise known as bunnymund and the reason for it is because on april 1968 jack caused a blizzard and ever since he and bunny have been rivals

Another thing to note about him is after he became jack frost he lost all his memories as jackson and he forgot all about his beloved sister

That is until the main villain pitch black who is the boogieman baited jack into taking his memories back but pitch was just trying to lure him away from the other guardians

Later on pitch defeated jack and broke his staff but jack learned how to fix his staff and after that he flew once more

After that he went to a boy named jamie bennett cause he was the only one who believe in the guardians and when jack made snow in jamie's room he was finally seen after 300 years jack was finally believed in

Afterwards he and his fellow guardians defeated pitch and jack finally accepted his duty of being a guardian

I think jack is a good kid he just likes fooling around sometimes and its understandable he is a teenager and thats always been something he was known for

And now to talk about the elephant in the room

The shipping between jack and elsa from frozen and to be honest i dont mind it i mean considering elsa is one of my favorite disney characters this doesn't really bother me that much
