trivia on dinosaur train evolution: the creation and title

So im talking about dinosaur train evolution again or DTE as a i like to call it and its basically my most successful fanfic and i enjoy it myself and im not promoting myself here like you would think the reason i say i enjoy DTE is because i love writing it i always wanted to write a dinosaur train fanfiction but never had the ideas of a writer but now that i do i can write about dinosaur train

Now im gonna talk about how i created dinosaur train evolution as well as why i chose "evolution" as the title of the story alright lets begin!

2017
This was one of my favorite years in my life and most of that comes from the hype i had for cars 3 at the time cause i was and will always be a big fan of lightning Mcqueen so you can imagine how much i loved the cars franchise during this year i met a lot of friends and went to many cool places like a hotel and i also watched a lot of movies that year but there was something that was kept in my mind

Dinosaur Train

The show that taught me so much about dinosaurs where has it been? Back then even if i was just 12 years old i already knew how to use a mobile device so i used my phone and i searched on google to find out what was happening with dinosaur train and to my surprise the show had grown since i last saw it

4 seasons?!

I couldn't believe it myself i have only ever watched the first season of the show although later i watched the second and half of season 3 but then came the day i found out that season 4 ended

As you know when you're a kid you never want your favorite things to end but it did but there was one thought i had in my mind

What if i made my own dinosaur train series?

I started having thoughts while sleeping everyday when i sleep i dream about my ideas for the show and what it would focus on and from the start i always imagined it as the characters growing up into teens i always loved that idea so during most of the year i dreamt of my ideas for the show but nothing really came from it

2018
I started hyping up even more this year cause jurassic world fallen kingdom was coming and out and my personal opinion its pretty good for the most part i liked ripper indoraptor i mean i even made a fanfic about him

During this year i started researching more into dinosaurs and i was surprised to understand so much about them

During the year i decided to re-watch season 1 of dinosaur train and it was even better than i remembered i always loved the show but now i loved it even more and from this point on i would become a fully fledged dinosaur train fan nothing much happened during this year but i was still planning my story

2019
I was hyped up again because godzilla king of the monsters was coming out and to be honest i loved the movie but we are not here to talk about that during the year i matured even more during this state in my life and i started to forget about my love for dinosaur train because i was so hyped on godzilla

But then i read up an article that says dinosaur train will have a 5th season i was literally jumping with joy no joke i started researching even more and this is where my "shiny x gilbert" phase began to chime in

As you know in my fanfiction when you read DTE you would notice that shiny pteranodon and gilbert troodon have a relationship well this is the year that started my support for it and this is also the year where i began to read dinosaur train fanfics

Some were alright but most were bad and weird and i really dont want to talk about it but the fanfics i did like were very well written

And finally when i found wattpad i had no second thoughts i wanted to make my story a reality but my problems were what was the plot? How would the characters act? And what is the title?

I started off as a easy to understand plot valkyrie wants to destroy the world of course and i thought about the characters and their personality i decided to give some of the underrated characters some attention and here are the personalities of the characters

Buddy Tyrannosaurus: fierce but hopeful

Tiny Pteranodon : caring and polite

Shiny Pteranodon : protective and calm

Don Pteranodon: silly but playful

Valerie Velociraptor: stylish and caring

Keenan chirostenotes: charming and polite

Gilbert troodon: smart and considerate

Thats where my dream started to become real

And now i am a fully fledged writer and i am very proud of it this story started as nothing but my prototype a test if you will if it would be nice to write but then looking at it now im surprised it got so far

Now about that title

As i said before originally i wanted the title to be "Dinosaur Train: Adventures Beyond" but i thought that title was not good enough so scrapped it during my pre-stage of writing and i changed it into "evolution" cause i thought it sounded cool that is until a few months into writing this i suddenly felt something

The title made more sense now than it did back then

Back then i just used it as a title cause it sounded neat and wasn't used before but now i think it actually has a meaning behind it

Evolution isn't just a cool title it relates to the characters as well because these characters had always been kids but now they need to adapt they need to evolve to fit this new world they're living in its not a world that is fully safe anymore because of valkyrie they need to adapt to him

And the title also relates to buddy specifically cause he has always been a calm and gentle guy he still is in my story but he needs to evolve to grow because he will not stay a child for very long he needs to adapt to this new world he lives in and needs to evolve to survive it hence the reason why i decided to give them powers

I enjoy writing this story and i will never stop loving dinosaur train it was and always be a big part of my childhood and i thank it for my success here
