Chapter 17

Albert's POV
I can't get over on what happened in the mall the other day... She was so happy and excited its the first I saw like that, her smile her laugh and everything.

It's been a week and we haven't talked since that day at the mall.

Terribly missing her.

"sir?"

"what?"

"andito po yung executives sa CEB"

Huh? They're here?? Why?

"as in right now? They're here?" I clarified.

"yes sir, they are currently waiting at the conference room" she explained.

"ok, give me 10 minutes" I said.

"yes sir"

We were on our way to th conference room and everybody was there except for eula.

"to what do I owe the pleasure?" I asked.

"we just wanted to tell you, Mr. Martinez that we will go to the site in Baguio next Month, and thought of visiting" they said.

"of course, you are very welcome here" I said.

"where is Eula?"

There was a moment of silence and they all looked at each other, I realized that I was using her FIRST name.
"I mean, Ms. Valdes"

"Oh, she is unable to join us today because of issues of the company" they said and I just nodded.

I ordered my secretary to bring us some wine and food, and we chatted about business and politics and many more it was quite amusing actually although wala dito si eula.

After our so called meeting they finally said their goodbyes and thank yous and I also went back to my office.

I am now in my office working on something and suddenly my secretary came in.

"sir, you have a visitor" she said.

"tell them I'm very busy" I said.

"are you?"I heard this feminine voice sweet and deep voice, it was so familiar and then I looked at the person and it was Eula..

"Ms. Valdes, you're here" I said excitingly.

"Clarisse, you may go now" I said and signaled her to leave. And then she closed the door.

"grabe naman, why did you let her leave?" she asked.

"wala lang"

"please sit down" I said.

"wag na hindi naman ako magtatagal I just wanted to give you these papers regarding of the development of the building in Baguio" she explained.

"aaahh okay,"

"so this is your office" she said while looking at the surroundings and stuff.

"yes,do you want anything?" I asked.

"no thank you" she said and stood up looked at my pictures behind my table and chair.

I don't know what got into me but I pulled her and made her sit on my lap she was shocked

"Albert, this is very inappropriate" she said. And then she stood up and cleaned herself..

"don't do that ever again" she said.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me" I explained

"it's fine I can't blame you naman" she said.

Yeah, she's right.

"why weren't you at the meeting kanina?" I asked.

"uhm, may issues kase sa company kanina" she said.

"ano?"

"we have this client that's unpersuadable, nakakainiss siya for fuck's sake" she said.

Haha this is the first time I heard her curse, it's kinda cute somehow.

"why are you laughing?" she asked.

"it's just weird to hear you cursing" I said and chuckled.

"get used to it, there's more than just that prim and proper CEO that everyone knows" she said.

"indeed, so anong meron sa client mo?"

"he's unpersuadable! I don't know what I did wrong, did I lose my touch and charm  on sales talking was it something I said--" I cut her off.

"you haven't lost your touch eula"

"may proof ka?" she said.

"I don't have concrete evidence"

It's clear na she isn't used to being refused by a person, she's biting her lip in confusion and worriness. I can understand kung bakit hindi siya sanay, she's really beautiful and charming no person could ever refuse or say no to her.

"wait, lalake o babae?" I asked.

"lalake, malamang" he said

Who ever that man is, he has no taste whatsoever.

"talaga?"

"oo bakit?"

"ok, I have a solution" i said.

"ano?"

"let me present"

At first she was confused and then lauged all of a sudden.

"is there something funny?" I asked.

"yes very funny, why would you help me persuade a client in MY company?" she asked.

"it does sound funny pero since ikaw naman" I said.

"there's no need albert Kaya ko naman to I've been running a business almost all my life" she explained.

"and so do I, Kaya as your business parter I should help you" I said.

"really? You would do that?" she asked in a soft voice.

"like I said, anything for you my dear"

"ok albert, what's the catch?" her soft voice turned into a deep and serious voice.

Alam niya talaga na may catch. Hahahaha

"we'll make a deal, if papayag yung client mo when I do the talking you will go out with me on a date."

Her eyes widened and raised her eyebrows.

"and if not?" she said in a mataray voice.

"we won't have a date" I said.

"okay,it's a deal Mr. Martinez" she said and shook my hands

She has the softest hands.

"when will it be Ms. Valdes?" I asked.

"tomorrow, 10:30 am sharp" she said.

"I'll go na, okay? Thank you for you time, take care!"

She brang her bag ang slowly went to the door.

"eula wait!" I said.

"what?"

I gave her a flying kiss and a wink.

She smiled a little and blushed.
