21. INT JACKS HOME, LIVING ROOM NIGHT 21:00
THE WHOLE FAMILY ARE IN THE LIVING ROOM WITH THE POLICE AND A FEW OF THE NEIGHBOURS. JACK'S MUM IS CRYING
POLICE JAMES:
Mr Day, when was the last time you saw your son?
DAD:
I really cannot remember, I think it was yesterday evening. We were in my office working on a formula and then I locked up and we both went to bed. In fact he went upstairs to his room to study.
POLICE JAMES:
Ok thank you Mr Day.
POLICE JAMES TURNS TO JACK'S MUM
And you Mrs Day, when was the last time you saw Jack?
JACKS MUM IS IN A FLOOD OF TEARS, AND GRABS A TISSUE FROM THE COFFEE TABLE
MUM:
I'm a terrible mother, I can't believe Jack's gone missing.
POLICE JAMES:
Mrs Day I need you to concentrate, when was the last time you saw Jack?
MUM:
Oh I don't know, I thought I saw him in his room this morning. I definitely heard his voice. I only tucked him into bed yesterday and now he is out there lost and alone.
JACK'S DAD REACHES OVER AND HUGS HER
DAD:
That's ok dear we will find him, it will all be alright.
POLICE JAMES:
That's right Mrs Day, I have my best men working on this case. We will return Jack to you, and in no time soon either.
MUM:
Thank you officer.
