5. INT DADS OFFICE NIGHT 20:30 DAY 1
JACK HAS WALKED INTO THE OFFICE WHERE HIS DAD IS EXAMINING TEST TUBES.
JACK:
Dad!
DAD:
(Jumps)
Jack what is it, you nearly gave me half a fright.
JACK:
What are you doing, have you found anything new yet?
DAD:
No not yet.
JACK'S DAD EXAMINES THE DATA ON THE WALL AND THEN TURNS ROUND TO FACE JACK.
Shouldn't you be upstairs its nearly your bed time.
JACK:
No not yet. So have you tested it out yet dad?
DAD:
(Scratches his head)
Yes but it hasn't seemed to work in the way I hoped, so I am running some more tests.
JACK:
You know I could test it for you if you like?
DAD:
No Jack that will not be necessary or safe. This chemical is very dangerous and as I told you before I do not know of all the side effects, especially on humans.
JACK:
Well can we test it on Derek, he's hardly ever human.
DAD:
No.
JACK'S DAD CONTINUES LOOKING AT THE DATA ON THE WALL. JACK WALKS OVER TO WHERE HIS DAD IS STANDING.
JACK:
Ooooh....
DAD:
(Sighs to himself)
Jack was there anything else? I really want to re-run these tests and I can't do that while you are in the way.
JACK:
No that was it. Goodnight.
DAD:
Goodnight Jack, see you in the morning.
JACK:
Ok, see you tomorrow dad.
6. INT JACK'S BEDROOM DAY 3:00AM DAY 2
THAT NIGHT, JACK COULD NOT SLEEP. HE TOSSED AND TURNED THROUGH THE NIGHT UNTIL THE EARLY MORNING.
JACK DECIDES TO GET HIMSELF A DRINK IN HOPE THAT IT WOULD COOL HIM DOWN SO THAT HE COULD GET BACK TO SLEEP. HE CLIMBS OUT OF BED AND HEADS FOR THE KITCHEN.
