Jack had absolutely no idea what he got himself into when he decided that he would teach me how to play the guitar. I felt bad for strumming it wrong, since Jack always jerked when I got the chords wrong. I had to admire his patience though, because he didn't give up and continued in instructing me.
Few moments later Jack fixed the position of my fingers on the guitar, but he touched the wrong place and I bursted out laughing, him joining me after a while, pulling me with him on the bed. I felt so free, so happy, almost carefree and I couldn't get enough of the feeling.
While my breathing was getting back to normal, I glanced over at the clock and widened my eyes in surprise. I exclaimed. "Jack, it's 6 o'clock! I have to go home."
Jack lifted himself up on his elbow, tracing his fingers over my back, distracting me. He smirked seductively, making me feel week in the knees instantly. "Do you really have to go? I mean, you could stay over at my place..."
I widened my eyes and stuttered. "Well, I didn't expect this, I have nothing to wear and I don't have my parents consent...We have to go to school tomorrow..." While I was trying to come up with good reasons, Jack's eyes were getting more sparkly with every word that I said, until he couldn't take it anymore and bursted out laughing.
"Emma, I'm kidding. I didn't mean it the way you got it. You really have a one dirty mind." He laughed and winked. I blushed immediately, feeling stupid.
He cooed. "Awww, baby, you're so pretty when you blush." He pecked my lips, while I laughed. "I'm sorry."
He smiled. "No need to be sorry. I'll give you a lift back home." He got up off the bed and I followed him.
When we pulled out of the drive way, I got an idea. "Jack, could you take me to Ashley's house?"
He nodded, eyes fixed on the road while he was driving. "Sure. Why for?" He asked.
I smiled devilishly. "I want to see if my plan's working." Jack chuckled. "Okay."
I smiled at him. "Do you have your books with you?" Jack looked at me with an confused look on his handsome face. "No, why would I take them?"
I made a face. "That's a shame, we could have done our homework together."
The car was slowing down until it finally stopped on the traffic lights. As soon as we braked the car, Jack turned to me, looking at me suspiciously. "What exactly is your plan? I thought we were letting them spend some time alone, so they can fall for each other!" He stated, biting his nails.
I conceded, smiling excitedly. "Of course. But I need to make it look like it wasn't all planned, that's why we'll go there."
Jack pointed at himself doubtfully. "Me too? And you do consider the fact that Mike hates me and I'm dating the girl he's in love with? Not to mention that you sent them a text where you said you were out with your parents having a dinner, you genius. How do you want to get around this, huh?" He named all the things that I had already forgotten, raising an eyebrow at me.
I mumbled. "I forgot about this." Jack's laughter filled the air when he started the car. "Yeah, sort of, babe." He giggled.
I raised a finger. "I know!" I exclaimed. "I'll tell them you went with us and brought me home, so they don't suspect anything. Plus, Mike wants to talk to you, I think he's trying to redress his toxic behaviour."
Jack laughed. "Can't wait to see it." It sounded rather sarcastic, but I knew he was able to forgive Mike and start over.
Few moments later, Jack parked the car in front of Ashley's house where she lived with her mom and sister. He turned to me. "Emma, do you really think it's safe for us to enter the house together?" I knew what he was referring to.
