Cole ⬆️
Delilah's POV

I had got an early start on my day once again. It began with me clearing everything out of my room and packing it into boxes. I shoved most of them into the attic, the boxes held things that were unimportant to me.

After that I ran to the store and got a tarp, painters tape, white white, and some paint brushes. If you hadn't noticed I plan on painting my room, why? Because after today it will no longer be mine.

When I got home I went straight to work, I covered the floor with the tarp and taped the wood lining the walls. Music played as I carefully painted over the purple paint that had been my walls.

Little by little my walls were painted white, one by one they become plain. They whole room smelled of paint, it made my head spin. Soon enough the four walls were wet with white pain.

While waiting for the paint to dry I went into my closet and separated some clothes from the others. I didn't spend to much time in my room because I went downstairs and ate a small snack.

I went back out to Jordan's Jeep before fixing the controls again, I made to make sure everything was perfect before tomorrow. Returning back inside I go into the living room and cock my head to the side, an evil thought came to my mind.

Going to the couch I pull it five inches to the right, I then shift everything else like I did the couch. I made rounds to everyone's room and shifted everything in their room too, hell I even messed with the family pictures on the wall.

Upon returning to my room I do another coat on the dry walls, when I was done with the white paint I put it in the garage along with the other paints. Something catches my eyes, glow in the dark paint.

With a small smile on my face I grab the paint and a brush before marching back to my room, an idea in my head. I sit in the middle of room and watch the paint dry, pondering my thoughts of what I could do with the paint can beside me.

I mean sure, I could write something on the wall but what's the fun in that? That sounded so boring, so plain. If I was going out I'm going out with a bang. No—a boom. Grinning I sprint downstairs and grab my laptop, I sign into Pinterest and begin my search.

The search lasted a long time, I had found what I wanted within a matter of minutes. With my laptop in hand I return to my room and dip the brush in paint, thankfully my search had been long enough for the walls to dry.

Glancing one more time at my laptop screen I but the brush against the wall and begin to paint the image that I looked at on my laptop screen.

Stepping back from the fourth wall I grin in satisfaction, flicking off the lights I grab my flashlight and turn it into the dry walls. My work began to soak up the warmth of light and glow. My breath caught in my throat, it worked.

I spin in a slow circle, letting the flashlight hit all the walls. Within minutes my work flew back at me. On wall number one we had GOODBYE scrawled messily in big, capital letters.

Wall number two had the words ANDERSON, once again it was in messy had writing that matched the first wall. It wasn't anything special, and they'd probably never see my message but hey, it's the thought that counts right?

Moving on to wall number three there was THANKS FOR HAVING ME,to be honest they'd probably think it's a stalker if they ever find this. But I'm proud of my work, I spent all day working on this.

Finally, the fourth wall. I was looking at IT WAS NICE TO KNOW YOU 'CARED' I think this is probably my favorite wall. I even took the time to write my initials underneath my masterpiece.

Happy with my work I collect my laptop and phone before leaving my old room. Going into the bathroom I take a nice, well earned shower. I take time washing all the grime off myself, I mean I earned it right?

Once done with my shower I let my newly black hair dry while I put on some clean clothes. I threw my old clothes, and the ones I'd worn the previous day's into the wash and started the machine.

Settling into the couch I open the Facebook app, I click on the chat box from last night.

Me: almost done here

Her: I sent the information to your email

Me: I owe you

Her: when you make it big for singing just remember where you come from

Me: I could never forget you

Her: good to know

Exiting Facebook I open my email, chewing on my lip the whole time. I click the newsfeed mail and scan through the information she sent me. I nod in approval and hit print.

From the couch I heard the printer begin to work its magic. A sly grin makes its way onto my face and I switch off my laptop, watch out world here comes Delilah. When I hear the printer stop I get up and get my papers.

I go to the kitchen and trim everything down to the perfect size, returning back to my room I go into my closet and take out the box. I out the papers inside and this time I take the box back downstairs and ditch it on the kitchen island.

Looking at the clock I see that it's eleven eleven.

Make a wish

"I wish for courage"

When I open my eyes it's eleven twelve, with new found strength I march up stairs and clean up my mess from painting. I work late into the night cleaning my own room, disinfecting everything that I've touched the last few days.

It would be as if I'd never been here.
