When I woke up it was nine thirty-one in the morning, I rolled from bed and hit the shower. When I was done I braided my hair and dressed in running shorts and a cotton t-shirt.
After that I called an outdoor maintenance crew to have them do the outdoor things I couldn't do. Okay, I didn't want to do them. They were simple tasks like; mowing the lawn, touching up the house's paint, pulling weeds, washing windows.
While waiting for the people to show I look over my plan, only two more days to go. After looking over the piece of paper I tuck it into my bra and pull out my laptop and I do a little research.
Minutes tick by while I surf the web, and soon neon I hear a knock on the door. Shoving my laptop off my leg I bound down the stairs and open the door.
"Hello" I greet warmly, a tall white man who looked to be in his late twenties stood before me.
"Hello, you must be Delilah" he says in a matter of fact voice.
"Yes, here's the list" I hand him the list he asked me to make him, he takes it and scans it over.
"That'll be two hundred" he says.
"Okay, can I run to the bank real quick?" I ask him, my head cocked to the side. The man nods and laughs.
"Of course, we will get started" he laughs. I wave to him and shut the door, I collect the keys to Jordan's Jeep and throw on a pair of flip flops. Before leaving the house I grab my wallet and spare house key.
Leaving the house I lock the door behind me and jog to my brothers car, unlock it, and get in. I wave goodbye to the man as I pull out and head in the direction of the bank, there was hardly any traffic so I made good time.
I pull out money from my bank account before going to Walmart, I buy black hair dye. After hitting Walmart I go to a body jewelry store called Body Candy and get my belly button pierced.
And I might have got a industrial in my left ear.
I make one more stop to the tattoo parlor before going back to the house. When I returned home it looked like the crew was just finishing up. I park the car and return the controls back to there original places before getting out and handing the man his money.
"Thank you!" I wave as they leave, they all wave back, laughing and smiling as they do so. I watch them pull away and turn onto the main road before I unlock the front door and race upstairs.
I go to the bathroom before I take out the hair dye and read the instructions, it seemed easy enough. Following the directions I clear the counter of its items and prepare my hair for the dye.

I stand in the mirror looking at my now black hair, from blonde to black. I liked—no love it. With a black pencil for my eyebrow I could fill them in and make it look like I was always a black haired girl.
Grinning at my reflection I look down at the mess I made, looks like I had to bleach the counter tops again. Groaning I take out the bleach, rubber gloves, and a sponge that we keep under the counter.
I scrub the counters until the glisten and I can see my reflection in them. While rinsing off the bleach I think about tomorrow and what I have to do, it wasn't going to be easy but it has to be done.
Shaking my head I clear my thoughts and dry off the counter so I can put the items back on. After spending a good two hours in the bathroom I go downstairs to eat a small lunch and watch some Tv.
I sit in the couch with my laptop and search my Facebook while my show plays, I scroll until I find the person I'm looking for. When I find her I click the chat button and type message.
Me: I need ur help
Her: how can I help?
Me: Fast and and Furious
Her: understood
Within a few minutes my plan for today was complete, now all I had to do was sit back and wait for tomorrow.
I don't pay attention to the tv as a commercial plays, instead I stare at my computer screen with tired eyes. I guess there is one more thing I could do before I turn in for the night.
Getting up off the couch I march up the stairs and into my room, I dig in my closet until I find what I'm looking for. A shoe box with my writing on the lid, grinning in victory I sit on the floor with the box in my lap.
Taking off the lid my eyes scan the contents of the box, I make sure everything was here for when the day comes. I take everything out and riffle through, searching for the most important item.
When I find what I was looking for I pull it out, it was a single strip of paper but it held something very important. Opening the fortune cookie sized piece of paper I read the words scrawled messily on it.
I grin, "bingo."
After everything I've done in the past two days, everything I've worked for. My whole future depends on this little piece of paper in my hand. If something goes wrong, if I were to lose this piece of paper...my life is over.
This has to be done according to plan, I can't mess this up. Not now. Not ever.
"Please God, let this happen" I mumble, putting everything back in the box and shoving it back where I found it.
"Please" •
